I am using waze as my primary nav system - and this is certainly missing.
I am forced now to use other solutions

The vehical icon list should be with (near) the vehical type options electric/petrol
An option to create user icons would be good

Firstly…. thanks for providing this great product. Use Waze every time I travel and I think it’s fantastic.

Just an idea which I guess you have already thought of and are working on but just in case…… I think there’s a huge need for Electric Car Charging Points to be included but also with:

1. A latest report on how busy they are (queues etc) – a bit like the traffic reporting aspect that exists now but as ‘real time’ as you can get it… perhaps even how many charging stations free and the time of the report. You could even provide a recommendation list by most suitable based on the drivers current available driving range.
2. What type of charging is available (fast etc – if appropriate).
3. Cost (very important) and perhaps even a conversion t local currency from one’s own home currency. (I drive abroad quite a lot so that would help me.)
4. Facilities at the charging station (One needs to wait so coffee, food, entertainment, shops etc will be of interest.
5. Opening hours.
6. Means of payment

I’m sure there are other things but these are some basics.

If you can really get this right you would certainly be encouraging the use of electric cars and doing a lot for the environment.

If Waze wants to stay #1, jump in with us EV drivers and make your platform equal to how you are supporting gasoline drivers.

je ne comprends pas pourquoi une société comme waze qui était à la pointe peux passer a coté des indication de bornes électrique. Et qui ne comprend pas d'électrique dans le types de voitures.
Je dit ça car j'utilise chargemap et que la recherche de borne n'est pas hyper au point et la bascule sur waze bug parfois

Charging Stations for Electric Vehicles

Actually im wondering why this was not implemented long ago. Lesser companies successfuly managed it how come waze didnt? Slowed down much?

Electric vehicles have already taken an important place in the world, when do you plan to update charging stations in Israel?

I had to reregister because since this feature advice does not get attention from developers, I use Google and my previous Waze account seems like deleted after not using for a while.

Please make this development. More and more electric car drivers would use it.

Show electric car charging stations and charging fees. Choice of charging network, route planning and search. Filtering electric car charging stations according to the highest available power. All of this is primarily in Europe. Thank You

Also include real-time data, possibly pulled from ZapMap to display number of working/available chargers.

Also add realtime data regarding chargers - maybe pulled from Zapmap to see how many working and available.

hey waze can offer you in the future the same functionality as on maps via android automotive with the charging stations but also the remaining battery capacity of the vehicle and the battery pre-conditioning function via waze
