This is a key feature and the only reason I use other Navigation apps at times. This would gain huge points for WAZE. Also, if connecting to data is difficult, the idea of users posting speed limits is great. Add to that the alerts if speeding. I use other apps as speedometers while driving so that I know the current speed and with the alerts, I always know that I am driving at a safe speed.

Add the speed limits for the area that you are in - especially on the interstates

I support this idea. And The Waze must warn you that you are about or over the speed limit of that road. But I think it must get the oficial data.

In some parts of the US, speed limits go from highway speed to 25 with little warning. This is especially true in NYC when you exit an interstate highway onto an access road, Which are now posted at 25 MPH

The only missing feature of Waze. Why is it still not implemented? Osm got it in its data, or users could be invited to report a speed change (useful also for working areas on motorways)

Why do not add a Speed Limiter function (audible and/or visual) to WAZE ?!
With a user speed limit preset (eg: city, extra-urban, expressway, motorway) or 1 single on the fly.
It would then be possible to drive to the limit of what says the law, which is often different from panels display in most countries, without risking tickets whatever the country.
I suggest that audible alerts can be limited in time by a timer.
For visual alerts, the outline of the card (a frame) flash of color to the user's choice, or a biggest flashing Speedometer !
Use the speedometer icone displayed on map to activate and preset the speed limits.
To select a speed limit while driving, if you click on the Speedometer moving, the current speed will be selected as your Speed Limit.
This would allow Waze to take much ahead of competition !

I completely agree! I travel for work and often find myself on rural roads and see not posted speed limit signs for a while. I know in most cases they are 55 mph but it would be nice to know that I'm not exceeding the speed limit.

1. ADD DISPLAY SPEED LIMITED ON THE ROAD, BY THE AUTHORITY.
2. ADD, OVERSPEEDING WARNING BUZZLE SOUND WARNING DRIVER.
3. SPEED TRAP CAMERA WARNING. 200 METER BEFORE.
4. ADD TOLL DISPLAY, SO THAT THE GPS WILL NOT GETTING DRIVER
JAM AT HEAVY TRAFFIC.
5. NGV GAS STATION, BY PETRONAS (a lot petronas not serving NGV )

Please add a speed limit to the navigation Interface.
