Please provide an option to turn off the "car stopped on shoulder" warning.
This is the most common warning yet doing nothing more than distracting. People stop on shoulders for few minutes all the time so why do I need to care unless I am planning to drive on the shoulder?? Turning off road hazards does not help.
Great news! The option to filter the kinds of alert you would like to get is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

Also...the city in which I work has simple traffic cameras at several intersections, but people have identified them as red light ticketing cameras, which they are not (I work for the city and know this directly.) I'm seriously annoyed every time I hear the bogus alerts, but I don't want to turn off all audible alerts.

I completely agree! I listen to podcasts on my long commute home and by the time I get off the freeway I listen to podcasts and while I want some warning tops (police ahead, etc,) these car on shoulder alerts drive me nuts. Being able to customize WHICH items trigger an audible alert would be a amazing.

WE LIVE IN A RURAL AREA WHERE PEOPLE ARE NOTORIOUS FOR USING THE SHOULDERS TO DRIVE ON EVEN THOUGH IT IS ILLEGAL. SO KNOWING CARS ARE STOPPED IS A GOOD THING FOR THE IDIOTS THAT THINK THE SHOULDER IS A PASSING OR TURN LANE!

User customization of alert options is needed, or at least remove the car stopped on shoulder.

Please allow users to TURN OFF the "vehicle on shoulder ahead" alert. It tells me nothing useful and only interrupts the podcast I'm listening to. Here on the Chicago highways, I can hear this useless alert twice per mile some trips! PLEASE, PLEASE add the option to turn off this alert.

This must be the most requested feature but the votes are scattered across a hundred different requests.

Can't we at LEAST TURN THE SOUND OFF on this ???????

WHY HASNT THIS ANNOYING FEATURE BEEN DISABLED!

I wish we could tell the app which warnings to turn on. I don't need to know that it's raining when water is hitting my windshield!

Waze has recently stated they want to better follow the feedback of users and have asked us to use this vehicle for now.

WAZE has a habit of NOT listening to customer requests. Why would they start now?

C'mon Waze, we've been asking for this one a long time now!

Please oh please give us the ability to turn this off! I get at least 20-30 of these a day on my commute. And, it covers up the top of the screen so I can't see where I'm going.
It's completely obvious that the developers and owners of Waze either don't use the app themselves, or, live in area's where they never drive on the freeway.

I switched to google maps (yea, same company now). I-95 south florida 4 or more lanes. I'm not in the HOV or the far right lane so a car on the shoulder has no impact on me.
Prior to giving up on waze I started hitting "Not there" the instant vehicle on shoulder alert came on, regardless if there was a car or not.The only alerts I want are "hazard on road" and please add an alert about re-routing due to traffic. I'm stuck before I ever see it on waze.

This is a great App but this "Car stopped on shoulder" is aggravating, irritating and almost as bad as my commute.

Complete waste of a feature. Just annoying noise. I cannot imagine a singe person would have this feature turned on if it could be turned off.

I keep tapping the "Not there" button as soon as I get the warning. I wish that it would have sent a mild electric shock to the moron who reported it and the morons who tapped the like button, as well as the waze management who keep ignoring this request.

I've stopped using Waze because of this 'feature'. I just dropped by this thread to see if there was any progress. I love the app, but it is impossible to use on a trip like the NJ Turnpike - you can't go 45 seconds without hearing that there is a car stopped on the side of the road.
