I would like to see Road Closures as an option to report when using car play with iPhone. It seems to be missing. It’s seems not to be possible from the iPhone, as it is in step by step mode.

The removal of temporary road closures from CarPlay is a huge deal given that road construction season is now getting into full swing in my area

Why isn't this resolved yet? Why did the admins close the voting? Why did Ella just give such an unspecific response? Why can't you just add this feature? It poses a major security risk trying to disconnect your phone from your car while driving just to be able to get propper navigation.

Trying to use CarPlay more and more to avoid futzing with my phone while driving. This would really help - reporting closures and accidents feel like they're the most important to me.

Road closures could be temporary, especially during large events, but it prevents accidents. It used to be available.

Currently we report speed bumps as potholes. If we could report them differently, nobody would expect a speed bump to disappear. And you could sell pothole information to local governments for pothole fixing planning.
I love being able to report closed roads. But I can’t do it using CarPlay. That should be possible, otherwise the app will try to send us again through the same blocked road. Please fix this.

The reason why I picked restriction on my Waze was because I could not find any other option to show that there was a road closure on my map. Turns out the volunteer map editor said this was incorrect and suggested I voice my concern here. Why isn’t this a feature offered in CarPlay? This seems to be a gross flaw in Waze. This is one of the main reasons for community input to help others not get stuck in traffic. How can Waze recalculate a route for others if that option is not available in CarPlay? Please make this happen ASAP. This goes against your own mission statement: “In 2009, we created a crowd-sourced navigation app that would make it easier to circumvent literal and figurative bumps in the road. How? By working together.”

When using car play/ Apple play, it does not provide the issue of road closure. I have come across this problem twice now and was only able to place map issue, which is not the correct input. It also does not let me use the app on my phone when plugged into the car.
Please place Road Closure option on CarPlay/ Apple Play.

I would like to make a feature request for CarPlay users that already exists in the phone app, which is reporting a roadblock. Sometimes Waze gives us a route and we come across a blockage caused by roadworks or an event. It would help other drivers if we could report the blockage. Otherwise, to report we have to disconnect the phone from the car, access the app and then report. It's a hassle and can lead to accidents.

This is the number one complaint I have about Waze and CarPlay. The current app creates a dangerous situation because drivers have to disable CarPlay and then use the app on their phones while driving to report a closed road. This report is the most important report a driver can make while driving and using Waze.
