Dear Waze Maps,

My friends and I have come across a problem. This problem is kids playing on a community road/street. This presents a risk to kids , drivers , and property. For example , a kid who is playing on the road could get injured by a car hitting him/her. The car could also swerve and hit another car , injuring the driver and/or car. Another possibility is for the car to hit property like : signs , decorations , houses , or light posts.

A person who is familiar with the road usually doesn't use Waze maps , but is familiar with the roads with kids playing and ones without. An unfamiliar person usually uses Waze maps and doesn’t know which roads kids play on and which roads kids don’t play on. This means unfamiliar people who use Waze maps are more likely to have an accident.

Since unfamiliar people use Waze maps , we propose to add a verbal and visual warning of kids at play. People can add warning for roads as they do with slow downs or objects on the road. Then other’s cars who come on the road will be warned by the verbal voice and a visual aid on the maps.

In conclusion , we propose a visual and verbal warning in the app Waze Maps for children at play. This can help prevent child, car, and property damage and/or injury. Thank you and have a nice day.

Les enfants cotoient tout les jours la route. Pourtant ils ne sont pas préparés a la sécurité routière. Il serait bien de pouvoir créer un mode enfant ou lorsqu'il y a une perturbation, un excès de vitesse, etc... Un message s'affiche ou une voix delivre un message pour éduquer les enfants a la bonne conduite sur la route et aux dangers. Faire des moments de route un temps pédagogique.

Pour améliorer la communication de l'application il est possible de presenter l'appli comme une manière de faire participer les enfants a la sécurité routière en leur permettant de faire eux même la signalisation.

Our once quiet and safe neighborhood street has become a cut through for dozens of cars using Waze. These cars speed down our 25 MPH street, often around 50 MPH, just feet from where our children are playing and walking to school. I would like to be able to put a "children playing" alert so that people can try to be respectful and slow down on our street if they are going to use it as a cut through. I know Waze is all about the common good and waze has been great in my personal use, but it has definitely made my once quiet street unsafe for our children. This feature would help. Otherwise,
