Auto dimming
When not using a car charger, it would be nice to have an auto dimming option to save battery.
This would work by automatically dimming the screen to almost complete darkness when on long stretches of road without any turns. As a turn approaches or for any alerts, the screen returns to the original brightness level. This will save a lot of battery.

Add a mode that automatically turns off the screen during navigation, then wakes it up in full-screen mode only when a turn, roundabout, alert, or important event is coming up. This would save battery, reduce distractions, and help drivers stay focused on the road.

It would be good if this could operate on a time basis, not just battery charge level. It is only necessary to have the screen on if a warning or navigation instruction is about to be made. Having the screen light up would also be a visual alert.

I tried turning on this setting. I contacted Waze support for it. That's when I found out that this feature is available for Android phone users, only. It is NOT available for iPhone users. Why not? Can this please be added to the iPhone version of Waze?

Would be great if this setting was not automatically turned off. But you can choose to have it always enabled.

Even if it plugged in, if this is an optional setting within the app. I do enjoy having the speed shown so maybe have it driving off of speed. If your speed doesn't fluctuate by more than 2 mph for a time period, like 60 seconds, dim the screen. Wake for all alerts.

Configure waze so that the screen turns itself off when there are no voice prompts for a long time or a long distance And automatically turned on the screen on a new warning or alert.
Thanks -

Not only for saving battery, but I have screen burn from waze, so it would also prevent this when the screen would dim

It would be great (for saving autonomy) having a mode which turn the device screen into sleep mode (if Waze is active on the screen) and come back into active mode before some interesting action, such as a junction, an off ramp to drive, or eating roadgoodie. In the best case, the time the screen become active again would be dependant of speed.
