Pls hide “where to” taking so much of screen area
The search bar automatically hides after some time when driving without navigation.

The 'where to' box covers a good portion of the map. It should go away while driving. It's both dangerous and illegal to use/type on your phone when driving. Why encourage dangerous illegal activity? Yes we can just not use waze if we know where we're going, but waze has always encouraged having it running while driving because it helps report traffic flow and road hazards. Again, illegal and dangerous while driving. Add a tiny 'destination' button so a passenger can open it and set the destination while moving, but should never ask a driver to type on the screen while driving. They can use voice to set destination. We can use the extra map space. PLEASE.

Please get rid of the where to box!
How can anyone think that's a good Idea to lock it over the map! -

Please make the "My Waze" and "Where to?" b a r configurable.
When I start driving, with or without a target set, I mostly need waze to tell me immediately if I should go right or left. Out of 100 starts I went 93 times the wrong direction because the direction is not visible. The forum is full of these requests, you gladly ignore your users with the message "it will not be removed".
To be honest, it seems that you like this digital bashing with your users about these 2 stupid bars. Why do you wanna make the experience so bad? Configuration flag to disable both bars, done.
Maybe it needs a russian to bring out a cracked waze, my vote goes for this after I saw your persistent ignorance on that topic.

I absolutely agree with this. Why can't I control what appears on my map? These 'features' take up much of the usable space on the map. If I want to search, let me do it by tapping the map or some other gesture. I'll never use carpool (like 10's of millions of other retired people or people who do not have a regular place they go each day), "My Waze" seems to mostly just be "settings" and when traveling locally, I almost never use search and navigation. These settings being "always on" is just wasteful of space as well as distracting from things I do want to see. Was that Smith Road I just passed? Is this upcoming road the one that just loops back and intersects the road I'm on? Please, please give us more control over what we see on Waze.

OMG this! I found that you can swipe the "where to" up and it will disappear pretty quickly, but it will return the next time you stop (at a stop sign, redlight etc...) and if you are driving you can't even use the where to button anyways!

I strongly agree with what the person posted this. The My Waze bar is taking almost half of the screen obstructing the map. Please allow a way to minimize the bar. Thanks

This is a great suggestion. I don't get why things like this are being used to hog the screen in the first place...it's a myopic design decision.

there is no reason all of these things should be persistent without the ability to disable. when you are not actively navigating somewhere, these bars take up about 25% of the visible map. Adding a simple swipe gesture to get these bars to appear/disappear would make the viewing area far larger and usable.
