When using a route with an HOV Lane, Waze defaults to telling the driver to exit the HOV Lane at every HOV Lane Exit on the route, even though the HOV Lane is available on the entire route.
The driver should only be alerted to exit the HOV Lane if it's the exit they need to take because there is no HOV off-ramp, or there is an issue in the HOV Lane ahead of them.

The exit notifications have caused me to miss a freeway transition roads since Waze doesn't want anyone using the HOV Lanes.
An example, Waze will tell you to exit the carpool lane 1 mile ahead, yet in 1.5 miles there is an HOV Lane Transition Ramp to change freeways for the routing, you miss the HOV Transition Ramp because you exited the HOV Lane when you should not have exited. To get back into the HOV Lane is not legal, you have to cross double yellow/white lines to get back into the HOV lane, which leaves 2 options, try and cut across 4-5 lanes of freeway traffic, or keep going on a route Waze didn't want you to take.
