Allow us to make a user-imposed max speed limit
In countries like Australia, where Learner or P-Plate drivers are restricted to speed limits such as 90km/h or 100km/h regardless of the posted speed, having the option in apps (like Waze) to set a custom speed limit for their driving profile would be incredibly useful.
This feature could allow users to input their maximum allowable or planned driving speed, which the app could then use to calculate more accurate estimated times of arrival (ETAs) for trips. It could also help improve route recommendations by prioritising paths that are more suited to their speed restrictions (e.g., avoiding motorways if the speed difference significantly affects traffic flow).
Additionally, the feature could provide warnings or reminders if the driver exceeds their customised speed limit, helping ensure compliance and enhancing safety. This option would be particularly beneficial for novice drivers, those with temporary restrictions, or individuals driving vehicles with specific speed limitations, such as heavy or older vehicles.

@DeviateFromThePlan even if it isn't used for Restricted Licence Classes, people who do not wish to do the posted speed limit- say older individuals using the app can drive at a slower speed they are comfortable at etc with it showing the estimated time of arrival etc.

It won't be as effective in states like Qld where leaners and P platers can do the posted SL, but for NSW I can see it would be a plus.
