Show average speed when in an average speed zone
Show average speed when in an average speed zone
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Very strange that it's not planned!
It should be quite simple to calculate the average speed since entering an average speed zone.
When entering such zone, a green bar is currently displayed on the left side and a circle shows the position of the car along it.
I only suggest to put the current average speed inside the circle (a little bit larger one) and to change the color of the bar to red if the average speed is over the limit, and turning it back to green when slowing down the speed enough to not exceed the limit. -

I agree with some of the comments, it's a must-have feature soon and sounds a simple one. There are more and more average speed checks now, at least in Europe.

this is a must have feature as average speed enforcement zones are getting too common nowadays

An alternative would be to indicate the average speed zone similarly to a traffic jam on the map, but with another colour.

Not only at the start but also at the end of the zone

Permit user to Set up two points in the map and let waze calculate live speed average as they travel

1. sarebbe eccezionale poter aggiungere più tappe
2. sarebbe utilissimo conoscere la velocità media del percorso durante il Tutor -

The idea is that once you enter a speed enforcement zone there will be an aditional box that displays the average speed driven inside the enforcement. This allows you to gauge how much you can speed up after stopping or going slow for awhile.

The "average speed check zone" alert is too unrelenting. You're listening to your favourite song, or an audiobook, or a podcast, and then the "average speed check zone ahead" starts and it's endless (wouldn't "average speed control" be enough?) and then, 5 seconds later, again, "entering average speed check zone". Enough!! A single, shorter message is enough. Also, every time the alert starts, the volume is lowered, and you have to raise it back again (maybe that's Carplay fault)

Very important for users with Apple Carplay or Android Auto, or using non-TTS voices.

This is indeed very important, specially for users that use CarPlay and Android Auto, and non TTS voices!!

It would certainly also be interesting in Belgium because there are more and more average speed controls.

The average speed could be displayed right next to the arrow on the average speed progression line on the left hand side of the screen.

Calculating your average speed in zones would be great. TomTom Ami go free navigation did it already. And I’m sure Waze has the same capacity to do that.
