Hello all, thought it would be a cool idea that when you are in an average speed zone waze shows you your average speed in that zone similar to what the tom tom sat nav app does.

I strongly support this feature. In Italy, average-speed enforcement zones (Tutor) are common on motorways, yet Waze on Android Auto does not make it sufficiently clear when you enter a zone, whether you are still inside it, or when you have exited it.

This is a real usability problem: drivers should not have to guess whether average-speed enforcement is active. A clear, persistent on-screen indicator showing the zone boundaries and progress is essential. Displaying the current calculated average speed alongside the applicable speed limit would make this feature even more useful.

Please reconsider this request for the product roadmap. With 956 votes already, this is clearly an issue that matters to many Waze users. Android Auto deserves the same clear and useful average-speed information as the phone experience, without forcing drivers to look away from the road.

THIS IS A MUST

Please bring this feature to Waze!! It is more than needed especially with New Zealand slapping average speed cameras up everywhere!

Lately a lot of average speed cameras are being installed in NZ, this feature is needed more than ever

There are always options to speed up and slow down. With calculated average speed one can make the best time while staying within the limit

In average speed camera zone, show your average speed whilst in the zone section over and above your actual speed so that the driver can adjust traveling speed speed faster or slower to keep average within limit.

Feature suggestion: Average speed calculation during average-speed camera zones

I think Waze could add a feature that shows the driver's current average speed while driving through an average-speed camera zone.

For example, if the speed limit is 90 km/h and I accidentally drive at 110 km/h for part of the section, Waze could calculate my current average speed and show what speed I need to maintain for the rest of the section to finish with an average of 90 km/h.

It could display something like:

Speed limit: 90 km/h
Current average: 101 km/h
Distance remaining: 3.5 km
Required speed for the remaining distance: 75 km/h

This would make the average-speed camera feature much more useful and help drivers understand their actual average speed throughout the entire controlled section.

In average speed camera zone, show your average speed whilst in the zone section over and above your actual speed so that the driver can adjust traveling speed speed faster or slower to keep average within limit.

Sería interesante que entrara en vustra hoja de ruta, de lo contrario volveré a utilizar TomTom que si me muestra esa velocidad que buscamos, así no adivinamos la velocidad media a la que vamos.

I would suggest to fit this into the roadmap.

As mentioned by other people, this would help drivers to drive more smoothly.
It would prevent guessing what average is for the zone when entered at slightly higher velocity.

Is het mogelijk om de gemiddelde rijsnelheid te tonen als je in een trajectcontrole rijdt.

The average velocity value is currently undecided. More and more ground-level velocity measurements are being made in Europe and Poland. Waze Supernova reports this, but it lacks average velocity. Do it!

It wouldn't be too hard to implement: since you have the sampling of the punctual speed, you just need the latest sample, the number of samples and the latest average.

Aggiungerebbe una utile informazione ad un software già completo

TomTom gives average speed updates and announces speeds for cameras, which is why I still use that on unfamiliar routes.

Visto che sono stati inseriti i km con conto alla rovescia per i tutor, sarebbe utile al termine della tratta visualizzare la velocità mediia così da capire subito se si è andati in infrazione

This feature would be really appreciated also in Italy due the global Tutor and Virgilius systems around the country (practically all the highways)

I miss this feature in Poland

This feature would be great, please add!
