Ability to select the types of hazards to enable/disable
Sometimes, certain hazards are not very helpful and are more of a distraction than anything. For example, vehicles stopped on the shoulder, weather, and missing sign are not very important and I dismiss them every time I see it. At times I feel like disabling hazards altogether.
Great news! The ability to disable individual alert notifications is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

I don't run red lights. Nobody should run red lights. Anyone who does should have their license revoked. Stop encouraging people to run red lights and stop muting my music when I'm near one.

Route changes are another example. I want to know if there is an accident ahead. By the time I hear the re-routing chirp it’s usually too late.

I would like to remove the red light warning at all times, not only while on routes.
I would like to KEEP all other alertswarm regards

This is not a useful warning. I stop at red lights .... camera or not. This is as useful as warning me there is a crosswalk up ahead.

You should be able to prioritize Waze alerts. For instance, I seldom concern myself with "Vehicle on the shoulder" but they also interfere with alerts that I care more about like "Police ahead" or "Object on road" or "Crash ahead" or "Pothole ahead". I should be able to make them more important than a car on the shoulder even if they come two tenths of a mile after the meaningless Car on the shoulder.

I was so excited to use this app, it's suppose to be good and seems like it offers all that I want, except, I DO NOT want it telling me about all the red light cameras I already know of! More, I wouldn't be running red light cameras anyway.

Introducing a feature to granularly choose which notifications to receive is a no-brainer. Specifixally, red-light camera notifications. They are not rate where I live, and it's really annoying to have to disable all sound from the app just to get them to stop.

This feature is extremely alarming. Enough to make me search for how to disable it. Also I find it unnecessary... just don't run red lights. Please give us an option! Thanks!

It's been a year, maybe longer, since you've been able to turn that and other alerts off. In Waze: Search> Settings> Display and Map> Alerts on Route will keep the voice from announcing it. Display and Map> Details on Map will remove the icon from the map in your phone.

How many hundreds or thousands of people have asked for this? WAZE, are you even listening?
WE ARE TIRED OF THESE ALERTS!

Red light camera notifications interrupt everything you do on your smart phone. Waze should listen up to their users, and give them a choice to eliminate these notifications!

Today the alert startled me when I was driving and nearly caused me to get into an accident. It is unacceptable that I do not have the right to disable this alert that is unwanted and more dangerous than it is helpful.

An option to mute frequently encountered speed and red light cameras should be added to the client.
I've passed the same red light cameras on my way to/from work for the past 7 years, I don't need Waze constantly blaring at me that they're there. Adding a "mute" button alongside the "Not There" button to allow permanent muting of static enforcement devices like this would make the app far less aggravating to use.
