Ability to select the types of hazards to enable/disable
Sometimes, certain hazards are not very helpful and are more of a distraction than anything. For example, vehicles stopped on the shoulder, weather, and missing sign are not very important and I dismiss them every time I see it. At times I feel like disabling hazards altogether.

Great news! The ability to disable individual alert notifications is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

It seams to be so easy to include a able/disable buttom to red light cameras considering Waze complexity...
I don't know why they still don't do it...
The red light camera notifications cover a large part of the screen everytime, disrupting follow of map route. -

I would really like to be able to turn this alert off, without turning all alerts off. I pass 5 or 6 red light cameras during my 30 minute commute, which means that the book I'm listening to is interrupted 5 or 6 times to tell me I should stop at the light if it's red. Since I stop at red lights anyway, I detest this alert. Why can't I turn it off, like police, accident, hazard.....? Thanks

For example, I would like to mute most alerts when on the phone, but still get certain ones like traffic jam, object on road, and police.

Add the ability to ignore and/or silence certain warning types posted by certain users or temporarily silence warnings. One night while driving home my podcast kept getting interrupted every 30-60 seconds with pothole hazard warnings even though there were no potholes, because apparently some idiots think that the slightest bump in the road is a "pothole" worthy of reporting (and they're probably trying to rack up points).

Only thing is I would strongly suggest each alert type be able to be toggled. What would be really great is to be able to set up profiles that can be quickly switched, so you could set one up to only do what you deem are critical alerts and one that will alert for everything (or almost everything), and switch based on where you are.

Yeah, 99% of the time, this is a worthless bit of information that only seems to benefit those new wazers that want a means to get their points total up. I only use it if the vehicle is stopped very close to the roadway (small shoulder).

completely agree with this. car on side of road is annoying and useless. there is one every 100 feet on NY highways.

Some alerts could be ignored still show on the map but nothing more. An example would be when I went on a road trip it keep telling me just about every 5 mins "car on shoulder" I like hearing all the other reports but that one became excessive. I would like to be able to see it but not hear that alert but the other ones.

On long drives the "vehicle on the side of the road" becomes annoying and has no real value compared to police, roadkill and hazard in road warnings. Wish I could turn it off and leave the others.

No time added communication is particularly annoying. If the time changes, why not just change the ETA briefly to red to indicate a slow down. You can turn it to Green if it speeds up again

Provide the ability to deactivate voice notifications, such as vehicle on the shoulder ahead. Some people may like it, I find it annoying. Allow folks to choose their preference

Let us select which alerts we want to receive. The 'Vehicle stopped on shoulder ahead' sounds way too often and is not helpful. Let me turn it off!

Really need the ability to select what aleryts you want. People love reporting the car stopped on shoulder but thats basically always in los angeles. It forces me to basically mute notifications ao i can listen to music. Please add another submenu with notification checkboxes please

Join the club ... search in the box to your right for "Please provide an option to turn off the "car stopped on shoulder" warning." and vote for that one... That one is currently in the first 30 most voted suggestions.

Add an option to disable individual notifications, like for an example, pot hole notification muting

I want to be able to disable "Police reported ahead." There are policemen almost in every intersection in our city anyway, and this is becoming a nuisance.

Ability to disable red light camera notifications. Alerts are rather annoying if you travel the same road on your daily commute.

Not only are these annoying, the voice is startling "Watch Out!". Can this not be something simple like "Hazard reported on side of road"? Even the Police alert is softer than this and I care more about that.
I would like to be able to turn this alert off altogether, however.

Search on in the box on the right side for "car stopped on shoulder", and also vote for that one... it already has more votes, and is almost in the top 10 of most requested features.
