I am deleting WAZE right now. I just now opened it and it wanted my flipping contacts. NO flipping way, oldest and most selfish trick in the world. GOOD BYE WAZE. not worth it.

Agree. I like the share ETA feature but not happy sharing contacts. No way to know what waxed will do with the list.

Correction, I now recall why I deleted the Waze app several years ago. It was due to the request to turn over by contact list. No can-do! It's too bad. I Understand it's a terrific app but I certainly would not want someone turning over by contact information which includes email and several phone numbers. It's starting how we've gone to respecting our privacy to corporations being allowed to get a hold of this information. Quite disturbing indeed!

Sorry, I don't recall why I deleted this app several years ago. I could not give Waze access to my contact list. I don't know who's really behind Waze it sounds quite suspicious to be big brother perhaps?

Adding my voice to the cacophony: requiring access to contacts is a huge violation of privacy. Will not be installing Waze on new iPhone.

Had it on my Android and just go an iPhone. Wanted to install Waze and it requires access to my contact. I will not agree. Waze has no right to my contacts. There is not need for it for the service it provides. I will find another service. By Waze

Too bad Waze, great app but not worth my giving you all my contact list. Taking app off my phone and all members of my family. Will certainly encourage others to do the same. Good luck.

Deleting the app now and will never use again. This is horribly intrusive.

As a computing security professional there is no way I would ever allow an application that is not at all related to contact management access to my contacts. It is a disservice to my friends and privacy risk at the highest level. Sorry I can't install or recommend the app until that is fixed.

WAZE has crossed the line.... requiring confidential contact information should be illegal.

I want to delete an address, not give my contact list.

I too will not give Waze my contact info. I don't want people knowing I'm not home. Privacy and security issues.
