don't sign up for account..can still use it..just can't read comments or map chat

Used waze every day. IT just upgraded the OS on my phone. Had to reinstall waze app. New version says "before you continue, allow waze to access your contacts". Um, no. This is where the coolest app becomes a deleted app. too bad.

Changed phones today. I couldn't use Waze without allowing access to my contacts. Removed Waze.

Useless if I need to give Facebook access to my contacts. Deleted Waze.
Sick and tired of Facebook sneaking in everywhere!!!!

Yeah I refuse to use Waze for this specific reason. Their explanation is that they need to verify my identity. I don't think the contents of my contacts is any of their business. They can set up security questions like everyone else.

Couldn't agree more what is being done?

I don't like sharing access either. Pls make it an option.

I'm happy to pay a fee for any good app. Come up with a $ amount and I will be a customer. But requiring access to my contacts is a price I am not willing to pay. It is sad to see you are unable to monetize your product honestly and legitimately. Goodbye.

Not allowing access to my contacts. It's an invasion of privacy. Deleting the app.

My account didn't even give me an option. Just all of a sudden took access to my contacts without permission. Duplicatin all my contacts make a second contact with same name, just with waze link. So mad!!! Deleted app immediately let violated. To bad because it was really cool saved me from two speeding tickets but that is not worth giving up my privacy. The government has already taken enough of that away. Don't need a free app to do it as well... join me in deleting app so maybe they will fix the problem.
