And also, I don't even want to see the "soandso thanked you for your report" in my waze in box. It's a great product but requiring us to see who thanked us for reports when we don't want to be bothered is annoying!!! I don't want to see that little red message counter and I certainly don't want to have to go to my inbox to delete them. Makes you not want to do reports. An option to not see thanks would be great!

Along with my previous post, I would like to state that I think waze is the greatest GPS app out there. It is a wonderfully helpful and inventive way to let people know what the traffic is like and to let them know when there are potential hazards ahead. I want to thank everyone who developed waze and continue to make it great. With that being said, again can you PLEASE allwo me to stop receiving notifications when someone thanks me.

What's really annoying is getting those notifications when you're not even using the app. For example when you are at work and it keeps making your phone vibrate and ring or when you are in bed and it wakes you from a deep sound sleep. Its as simple as adding the feature to disable notifying you when you get new emails from other Wazers, but without disabling notifications from the system settings. If you disable notifications from the android system settings, then waze doesn't stay in top bar when momentarily switching to another app. PLEASE add an option to "Stop notifying me when I get new emails."

I agree with these comments. I use Waze for all of my navigation needs. And I used to be a constant provider of updates. My wife often drives on our trips to watch our grandkids baseball games. HOWEVER, I HATE the feedback feature. I know people appreciate my posting as I do. I don't need (or want) an annoying stack of thank you messages. So recently, I've stopped posting updates of hazards and traffic. When I arrive at my destination I don't want the annoyance. It seems like it would be so easy to have a setting so everyone would be happy. Those who need to see the feedback to feel their reports are appreciated can do so. Those who don't want the interruptions can ensure they don't get them. I would like to contribute and make waze work better for all, but not at the expense of my privacy.

Force stop app when done and clear cache and cookies and uncheck notifications(droid) but don't forget to turn them back on when restart. Always shut off auto update apps in Google play or it turns apps on randomly. Don't forget anything you click on is running until it is force stopped!

YES! I was searching on how to turn the notifications off and saw this! So annoying.. At least make it so I can silence them...

Maybe Google is intentionally sabotaging this application so people will go use their own Google Maps application instead, now that they bought Waze. I know it sounds very "conspiracy theory" but, honestly, this is pretty overtly sabotagey feeling.

I agree with all below. The thanks when running the app was ok but now when the apps not running to get push notifications for a thanked road report. No thank you!.

Please stop with the nagging thank you notifications.

Agreed, this is the most annoying part of Waze. Amazing that they won't adjust it seeing that people are not reporting road conditions just to avoid the follow up "Thank you" alerts. Sounds very counter productive, Waze should really fix this.

All you have to do is turn off badge app notifications in iOS settings.

No more alerts until they provide the feature. If nothing by 06/30/2016 I quit using the app.

I feel the same way. I don't care if other users thank me or not. And please, no push notifications. It has beeped twice just while adding this comment!!

I say we all band together and protest this failure to hear our request and stop providing real time updates. The whole premis of waze is to have the users provide the information to get it out to other users. If the developers wont listen to us then all of us should stop giving them the information this app prizes so dearly! Its a simple request to be able to sit peacefully at home at the end of a hard days work without being inundated with thank you after thank you for letting others know a car was pulled off the road!

Hey everyone, Waze has no intention to get rid of the Thank You's. I've seen postings and complaints going back to 2014 and nothing has changed. They want to keep it or they would have given us the option by now. Let's get real.

I am a very frequent Waze user, driving 60K plus miles per year, currently ranked #56 in WI and this notification feature is causing me to consider stop using Waze. There are LOTS of alternative GPS apps. Please give us the ability to turn off the "thank you" notifications!!

I just updated to 3.9.9.0 and now I cannot figure out how to turn off the push notifications! This sucks and I'm going to uninstall.
