Enough already with the thank you notifications! I'm getting notifications on my smart phone in the middle of my work day only to find out it is a "Thank You" notification from WAZE! AAARRGGHH! Make it stop, PLEASE!!! If there is a reason to stop using this app and switch to Google Maps, it's this. It can't be that hard and your users have been asking for this for (at least) a couple of years now. Enough!

Agree, need setting to opt out. Annoying. I don't need to be notified that others appreciate my road report. I wouldn't have reported unless I expected it to help others in the first place. Road report counts are ok if the app keeps track and shows me only when I check messages. The only reason I didn't turn off general Waze notifications in the iOS Settings was that I need to be notified when my significant other sends me a Waze itinerary. Now that I really want to know about.

AMEN. Incredibly annoying.

To turn off the "Thank you" messages it appears that you must do the following:
Go to settings
Click Social Networks
Under the section "Map Chats" unclick "Others may send me Map Chats" and "Others may send me private messages."

I haven't tried it myself, but I did read about this procedure in another forum. I can't think of anything more useless than being thanked for alerting drivers about a car on the shoulder 300 miles ago.

Please allow us to turn off thank you notifications that vibrate my phone for hours after my journey.

Since waze won't fix this, I suggest you do what I did and quit reporting so that you don't keep getting useless thank you's. Love the app but fear so many are doing the same thing that I'm not getting relavent information because others are also avoiding reporting so not to get disturbing text messages.

Couldn't agree more. I get thank you notifications for hours, during meetings at work. Very annoying! To me and others.

please turn off push thank you or let me disable the notification sound. It is so annoying to get 6-8 notification sounds back to back well after I am out of the car and at work. Makes me not to participate in the program. Should not be a hard problem to fix.

I agree! I keep trying to figure out ways to turn it off. I thought maybe I just couldn't find it. Makes me want to stop notifying people because my phone goes off 50 times after that in bad traffic. Please allow us to turn them off. Thank You!
