support "car camera" mode
today, a lot of drivers buy a car camera. we can save it by adding this feature to waze.
the phone is already mounted aiming at the front of the car, and we can also recor sounds inside the car.
save last 3\5 minutes. ON\OFF from settings, screen button to "save video".
permenantly delete older files not to use a lot of disk space and dont use the best camera option (3 min. of 4K is a lot!). option to save to internal memory\SD card if available. option to "share" the file to gmail, google drive etc.
Great thinking! We’ll share with the team; they’re always interested in new feature ideas.

Indeed, a dash-cam. A couple of people have requested it, I totally think it’s a gran idea.

Given the proliferation of vehicle video cameras - seems like Waze would be an excellent candidate to include the capability to turn on "video vehicle camera" and use the phones existing camera capabilities to record things (front &/or rear) based on where the person puts their phone. I got this idea from an ad for the Aduro Grip-Clip Universal Rearview Mirror Phone Mount - and thought what if you were using Waze and it automatically eliminated the additional device that people buy to record situations that occur on the road.

I noticed that the Pandora app automatically integrates itself into my Honda Dashboard screen and apparently this feature is available for a lot of different cars ( https://www.pandora.com/everywhere/in-the-car ). The app takes over my 2015 Honda's touch screen display with all the special options whenever I run the Pandora app on my iPhone and my phone is connected to the car via USB cable or Bluetooth wirelessly. No special cables or installation procedures needed, the app becomes one of the display options for the car when I run the Pandora iphone app
This means that a development kit or integration method is likely available to add Waze screen on your car's built in touch sensitive Nav screen when the Waze phone app is running. This would be a huge benefit to Waze users, no more looking down or fumbling with a phone while driving, and no expensive cables to jury rig HDMI from the phone to the car's display.
Yes my car has a Nav option, but we all know that Waze is much, much better. Can this be done??
