Police on the move and what side
Police on the move: I would put an option on the police spotter that shows moving/same side or moving/other side of the road. The app can see what direction/side the motorist is on, it would be a simple change to show that the police are moving on your side or other.

I love how all your new apps are formatted, but I do wish that you had Police on the move to report on both sides of the interstate I travel interstate 49 every day and I always see Police on the move but I don’t have any way of reporting it thank you. PS I use wave every time I get in my car and tell everybody about it and I just love it.

Having additional options when reporting police like whether the police is stationary or moving along the lane would be helpful and give a better understanding to others about the alert.

I use waze often to find police along my route however it only works on police in a fixed location. I have seen instances of people reporting police several times on one road which means it's a moving vehicle. My idea was if waze could provide a new feature which allowed users to report a moving vehicle, select its speed and which road it is on and then the app would provide a circle/radius in which the roving car could be. Other users could then update the whereabouts of the car and the circle would shift to that area. This would be really appreciated especially in smaller areas with fewer police vehicles. This feature could also be used to identify the whereabouts of other emergency vehicles in case of an emergency. (I would not recommend that being advertised though).

I LOVE WAZE and have been using it even though not many people in Arkansas knew about it. I want to suggest that you put an option on MOVING POLICE. Many times the police will be moving and then park and wait.. It would be very helpful..Thank you WAZY for all that you do to keep us safe on the highway and the backroads of America

Would be nice if you could have an option of reporting Police who are moving.
Options would be Police>Moving>Same Direction or >Opposite Direction.
Interpolate the speed over 5 minutes and display a colored bar to indicate possible Police moving.

This is exactly what I wanted to suggest. So many times people report seeing police and when I get there they aren't anywhere to be seen. It would be much more useful to know if they were heading my direction or away from me. Love the app!

I've long wished for this feature, a report for when a police vehicle passes on the highway. "Smoky is rolling" as the CB truckers used to say. It could be a 1-2 mile long blue arrow animation like the red animation for slowdowns or standstills.

I feel like there should be a setting where you click on police on road. To let drivers behind know that there is a police officer driving on the freeway with everybody else. There’s been so many times that I kind a slide by a police officer because no one tag him as a moving police officer but tagged as a stationary.

When someone posts an alert of police…can the option say, stopped or moving? If moving is suggested, request north, east, west or south bound and the time reported as an alert??

Hi Waze! Thank you for offering this great service.
I have some suggestions regarding police notification: to have the possibility to notify police on the move, not only static. Also, if any user notifies police presence within 10 km / 6 miles radius, it will be useful to be notified, especially if it is coming from behind.
Thank you! -

In the feature for reporting police present, it would be helpful to have an option for ‘parked’ or ‘moving with traffic’. Thank you.

Australia uses a lot of mobile speed cameras and it would be good to note them for drivers correctly instead of just noting 'polce ahead' - it should say 'mobile speed camera reported ahead'. It could be a sub choice in the police category or have its own icon on the top layer for carplay etc.. see https://www.speedalert-pro.com.au/SPEED-CAMERAS-in-Australia-Watch-Out-for-Speed-Cameras-s/152.htm

When reporting, use a 3 seconds timeout dialog to present an option to change side.
There should be 3 buttons:
Confirm (3/2/1), Other Side, Cancel. If any button not pressed in 3 seconds, it will be send out as this side. If press Other Side, the report will be shown on other side. If Cancel pressed, the report will be cancelled.
When Waze show a user Police alert with 2 buttons, add another button "On other side" to it, so we will have a chance to correct the side.

This is the best idea in Waze. More than the final solution, I want to see the possible methods to implement this. The only thing I can think of is activating Waze on some of my phones, and taping it to some of the police cars. :)

Need to be able to identify a police vehicle moving in the same direction or opposite

Sometimes you are traveling on roads with not much traffic and police are hiding. It would be nice to be warned of where they typically hide from prior reports.

This may be considered police - visible but it could be another category for reporting when they are looking for speeders.

Add an option when selecting stopped vehicle for the other side like we do for police.
