Police on the move and what side
Police on the move: I would put an option on the police spotter that shows moving/same side or moving/other side of the road. The app can see what direction/side the motorist is on, it would be a simple change to show that the police are moving on your side or other.

You can add hidden police reports for your side, but often you don't see them in time to report them. However, most hidden police are easily seen from the other side of the road. Adding "Other Side - Hidden" would let users flag hidden police for users on the opposite side.

When you go report a vehicle stoped on shoulder. Well if you see a vehicle on the other side of the road you can report that.

Waze could add a moving police icon, that when reported moves. This could be done by a projected speed based off the speed zones. Waze would estimate the distance travelled by speed so road users can have a rough determinism where a police car is. When the police stops then someone else can report the cop as stationary.

We can select where a cop is but need to be Abe to post that he’s traveling. Which way, North south east west and where and when cop gets off highway or wherever. I just kept posting that there was a visible police all the way down 59 and I’m sure people were wondering what the hell was going on. But I wanted to warn people!

I would like to suggest that a new option be added when notifying other wazers of a seen police report. There should be an option that would allow others to know if the police is moving or stationary. If you use the option to notify that the police is on the move, the app should automatically assume the police is moving at speed limit and a live location based on his movement at speed limit should show on the live map until he is no longer visible by other wazers. This new option in addition to what already exist should give a much better report of their actual location when they are on the move

There is no way to warn that a car is stopped or damaged on the road on the other side. We can only do this in case of an accident. Put the option on Alert ⚠️

This would totally put this app over the top.
Just like a CB RADIO would do back in the day.
I like the timer feature, perfect!!! -

We need the ability to choose ‘Other Side’ in addition to our regular ability for Stalled Vehicle Reports. On Police Reports, there is the ability to choose ‘Other Side’. We need this functionality added to our Hazard/Stalled Vehicle Reports.

We should have an “in motion with me” option. For example, if I’m on the highway and I see a cop that is moving at the same speed as I am. I can alert other drivers that the cop is moving with me. That way other drivers won’t come flying by thinking that it was a false report. And whenever the cop exits, we can then cut the “in motion” option off.

At the very least you should be able to indicate that a LEO is traveling very near you. E.g. right alongside/in front of/behind.

This would be extremely helpful so I don’t have to stare at the app to make sure there’s no issues on the other side of the road. I’d use this app a lot more if the is was available

Hello... love Waze app but have a suggestion. You only have one police officer on “Send A Report.” When you click on the police it makes it stationary at that location. How about you have two options. Police stopped at a certain location or police moving?
Just a suggestion. Keep up the great work!

adding more options about police location when reporting police, like: "on a bridge" ,"road block"

We need the ability to be able to indicate when a patrol car is on the move. While we might not be able to "tag" them showing their exact movement. We need something that indicates which direction they were last headed. We see them flying up the road behind you and we have no way to tell other drivers to be on the lookout ahead or behind them.

When police are on the other side Waze should make a ping noise so I look down at the screen. will help on two lane roads when radar is facing my way.

Totally agree, this would help avoid situations where people press the Police stationary/hiding button all the way up the highway. The point of this feature isn't really to mark police that are moving but more to avoid as many false positives with people marking police stationary when they are moving.

@smokingtree You’re missing the point entirely. Sure you isn’t a cop? Grasping at breathalyzer straws...

I can report police as being "hidden" OR on the "other side" but I can't report them as being "hidden" AND on the "other side". Please enable multiple location options to be selected so we can report police as being "hidden" AND on the "other side".
