*I am uninstalling the app

I am unmistaken get the app. Waze and its success are based on the amount of information that its users provide. If you cannot provide us "users" with what we need or prefer there is no reason to participate in this partnership with you. There are far to many comments regarding this subject for you to ignore the obvious.

The "Always On" is killing my phone battery. The app used to have the "While Using" feature. Please restore the option.

Even Google Maps has the "while using" option.

The "while using" option should be at least a third alternative, I would set it as default. The "always" option is useful when you want to receive an alert prior to driving to a meeting, I suggest not to take it away.

Please include the option "while the app is in use" for the lacalizatoion on iOS, because the "always on" option is draining the iphone 6s battery very quickly

Following suit, I tried what Marcio Oliveira suggested: "Waze->Settings->General->Location Reporting: turn off" and it worked for me. Hopefully.

Seriously, it needs to be on "while using"!!!!!

Please issue an update with GPS setting for "while using" like with other gps apps.

I concur with everyone else The "ALWAYS" future is complete BS and I too am tired of turning it on and off in location settings. I'm in the top 4% for Arizona. I use Waze every time I get in my car. It's getting to the point where I've started using Google maps instead because of the amount of data and battery usage that Waze is using. Please fix this problem or I too will uninstall the app!!!

I usually go to my privacy settings and tell Waze to never use my location but every time I want to use it? That's a headache. I've already uninstalled Waze and use Apple Maps with my iPhone sending traffic updates to Apple.

Absence of "while using" is unacceptable ! All other apps including Google maps offer this option. This is causing battery drainage and is really an invasion of privacy. I am considering uninstalling Waze in meantime, because I tired of powering down Waze after each use to avoid using location services forever.

I've been saying this for a long time. There is absolutely no justification for tracking my location when I'm not using the app and it's a huge invasion of privacy!

It's because of this very issue that my long-time Waze usage has dropped to nothing; I grew tired of turning location services on/off whenever I wanted to use Waze. I guess you will have to do without my inclusion in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.

Can I also ask why the app always runs in the background? This is surely an infringement of privacy. Unless I'm driving, I'm not sure why the app needs to know my location? If you are selling people's data, I would rather have the option to buy the app and have additional privacy settings so your app only work whilst I'm using it. Please address this query. Thanks.

I am also using iOS 9.3 Beta and After the last update from Waze the share location is always on, so like already mention try this: Waze->Settings->General->Location Reporting: turn off

Please add an option for location services "when using waze" not just always or off, it really uses a lot of battery and data if its always on and if I switch off location services I have to activate it before using waze and I also have to restart waze before it works again.
