Completely agree... Both current options -- let Waze track you 24/7 while draiing the battery, or make you go into Settings every time you want to use Waze -- are unacceptable. I hope to see "while using" option soon!

This is exactly why I hardly ever use Waze. I'd use it all the time otherwise.

It's been over a year and Waze still has not fixed this battery sucking problem. It's very simple for the "always on" to be changed to "while using" for location services. Until you fix this I will be continuing to turn on and off location services for waze every time I start and stop using the app.

THANK YOU!! I was going to suggest this too! We need the "WHILE USING" option for iOS devices. Even with the latest software updates both on Waze and my iPhone, this option is unavailable. There's no need for "always" using Waze. My google maps allows "while using" so Waze as a "sister" app, should be able to do so as well.

Latest update for IOS still does not add "while using" Back into the deleted folder waze goes.

I changed my android phone to an iPhone and now I have this massive inconvenience, being unable to change to only use location services WHILE Using the app. Oh God.. This is so basic!

This issue has brought me to delete Waze twice. Sorry Charlie- but this issue should have been resolved months ago. Besides. Waze hasn't been giving me any better Waze to get places then Google Maps which DOESN'T constantly check my location

Please make an update to be on "while using" instead of "always"... Please! It's draining the battery fast.

This crushes battery life. I now keep it on "never" and switch it on right before I use waze and off again when I am done. Massively inconvenient. Waze went from my favorite app to the one that fills me with resentment

I found one workaround about granting access to calendars, then getting the location change selection under general. I still think this is VERY circuitous and makes me not want to use Waze.

Please add this feature for Iphone users. It should have option while using the app. It is not that difficult. Just prioritize the work and it can be done with next release! Thank you. Once you will add that then I will start using waze app always. Now I have to go and always turn off because it drains my battery.
