Please add that I can choose Location services will be used while app is open and not always like right now. That is only thing that is holding me from using it because it is drain my battery on the phone but when I am driving I put on charger so it is fine.

+1. Practically, no reason for this to not be an option. Assuming there's a business/monetary/advertising reason behind it

I'm absolutely appalled at Waze!! I love your app, but your unscrupulous use of my location is outrageous!
Even google use the three options of privacy access; 'Never', 'while using' and 'never'.

Why on earth would you not include 'while using'. Even with calendar and future drive options disabled you still access my location when completely shut down.

Your sleep mode is a joke because I always make sure apps are completely closed on my device.
As soon as I completely shut your app sleep mode is disabled and you continually access my location.

The only reason I can imagine you'd need this unprecedented access to my location is for marketing purposes. The information being very valuable!

Prove me wrong by installing the option 'while using' or find yourself deleted.

Been using Waze since 2011, this is the only navigation app requesting full access to my location, apparently for no reason and to no effect other than reduced battery time.

I want option while using. I'm so tempted to stop using

Recently you changed your options on "location" in settings. Previously I was able to opt for location settings to be on 'only when in use,' now I only have two options: 'always on' and 'never.' There is no need for Waze to know where I am when I am not using your app, thus no need to be always on. Now I find myself having to adjust my settings before and after I use Waze. Please add 'only when using' as an option again. I love to use this app and have had it since it was first available.

LOVE the Waze app, but will be switching to another navigation program until this issue is resolved. NO other APP i have asked for my location all the time except weather !

If I'm not given control over how your app uses my location this account will be deleted and app removed. FOH

I only turn on location/GPS when using Waze. It would be great if there was a setting to allow Waze to automatically turn on location/GPS when opening app. Then turn location/GPS off when exiting the app.

I've stopped using the app until this is changed. Too much trouble turning it in & off in settings.
