Add option to prefer beautiful way (scenery) over short/fast way
When on a trip we sometimes prefer a beautiful way (view, atmosphere, interesting villages etc.) over the short/fast one. (I noticed that on our last trip abroad).

Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Can you make a thing where you can put in an amount of time to be driving for and Waze gives you like a random round trip driving route? That would be fun for exploring or them drives where you just want to clear your head

Road trip feature where you select a type of destination. Like shopping center or restaurant and waze decides where to go and how to get there. So you can experience new things. You. Would charge businesses to be a feature stop in your road trip option. Or a pass by in the route. You could choose scenic route or short route. Type of cuisine or type of store.

Now it is avoid none or all highways. I prefer touristic routes, and not only highways.

Allow us to customize a route by choosing among say the following
1Fastest
2 Shortest
3 No highways
4 NO toll roads
5 Flatest
6 Most elevation change
7 Scenic A native woodlands, B farms C wineries D MOnuments E unusual attractions,
8 Specific - ROute me through wall south dakota and bismark ( you have something like this by using add a stop but this is different)
9 Alert us to routes that are in various radio station ranges - especially weather or traffic -

Yes, would love to have a scenic road option on waze. This would’ve been great! Please do it guys!

Waze already prefers beautiful routes over shortest/fastes ones, in some way (it happens much more than using Google Maps).
But making it more precise and standard, with the option to choose what kind of routes to give more "space" in the user settings, would make it still better.

Sometimes I just want to go for a drive, and see some interesting sights. I love driving. Driving for a couple hours sets my mind straight. If Waze could offer me a random drive and lets me return home, I would be so happy.
Possible fine tune ideas: Avoid highways (already there, but should be asked when going for a scenic drive) Select trip duration time (do you want to go for a short trip?) (<30 minute drive, or longer) Possible POI's to visit (or randomize the stuff if you don't really care)
What are your thoughts on this idea?

Hi, I want to design a software that will make tourism possible. That means we can go from town to town and see the natural places on the route and get in touch with local guides. We can also use local homes. Introduce the right way. Offer a stop time. Can I work with your company and add these features to your software?

Ever since Garmin decided to make the Navigon product line end of line, which had scenic route options for over a decade, I can't seem to find a single other application that will do it.
Hell, I don't understand why Garmin doesn't just implement that feature themselves, they already won the datapoints and algorithm, by owning the Navigon brand and assets.I sorely miss this feature for road trps, and have used it extensively to explore +20.000 miles of US backroads.

Can you add a route option that is the "nicest" drive? Not the shortest, but with least stop and go traffic. Most continuous drive. I wouldn't mind a longer drive if more pleasant without the traffic. Maybe options as well as to how far out of the way to go to get the least traffic?

Soon we will travel from Philly to Baltimore. A three hour drive that we need to make a six-eight hour trip. Having the option to see locations of museums, historical markers, local points of interest would be a much appreciated addition to your service.

It would be very useful to be able to use Waze for the holidays, and to select lovely roads or the seaside, and to have a button leasure travel with highly touristic suggestions !!!

I live in Southeast Michigan, but am not from there originally. I traveled to Detroit for work, and the event ran into the late evening. Though Detroit is beautiful, and improving in a lot of ways, there are still a lot of really unsafe areas.
The Waze app took me down a bunch of side streets to get me to the interstate. It was terribly unsafe, and by the time I realized it was too late to turn around.
Please. Please.. add safe routes!!!!!!!

Is possible to add the mode similar like the Discovery route on ViaMichelin maps? Users can advice touristic POIs or the app can automatically collect most frequent destinations for calculate more interesting routes.

Create a road class "beautiful roads" as well as a function that automatically selects the "beautiful roads" in the navigating mode. Compare with fastest or shortest route. In Europe, this information drawn on many maps.

I think you mean "Scenic Route" --who would decide which beautiful way to be assigned?

Yeah this would be great. Currently using Viamichelin alongside Waze simply because of their scenic route feature.

I have been in San Francisco last month and I have difficulties to follow 49 Miles Scenic Drive. Not just for this Scenic Drive if Waze could implement all Scenic Drive around the world will be handy. Also, another feature is from where I am how to join the nearest point of the Scenic Drive.
