Addind a "Facing the opposite direction" button
When I get to the car, many times Waze suggest a route in the oposite direction of how the car is parked. This causes a major time loss as the app needs time to realize I'm headind the opposite way, recalculate and offer a new route. Therefore a banner "facing the opposite lane?" is necessary and would upgrade the app signifully.

Setting the Car’s direction when starting the app and navigation is a known matter which will be addressed in the future.
There are many complexities in location tracking which cause this issue and hold us from providing a solution.
It’s currently on the back burner, but definitely a part of the backlog.

When I arrive at a destination and then start a new route while still stationary, Waze appears to lose track of my previous direction of travel. The initial guidance sometimes assumes I am facing the opposite direction, which makes departure confusing.
Could Waze retain the last reliable direction of travel and use it as a provisional starting direction until fresh movement data becomes available? This would be particularly useful when the vehicle has not moved between navigation sessions.
I understand that the previous direction may no longer be valid after parking manoeuvres, so it should be treated as a fallback rather than a confirmed heading.
Is this a known issue, and how does Waze currently determine the initial direction after a stop?

For some reason, even though I was using waze and for instance, stopped at a gas station or other stop, when I turn waze back on and program my next destination, it consistently tells me to turn the wrong way (right when I need to go left, left when I need to go right, etc). Can't WAZE store my exact orientation and location at the end of each route and know exactly which way I am facing when I turned the car off, so that it will use that as a staring point the next time I select a destination and my GPS location is the same as it was when I reached the last destination?

It's 2018 and Waze STILL OPERATES THIS WAY and it's the one thing about it that makes me the most frustrated. @WAZE PROGRAMMERS - scratch down a note in memory about the travel direction for arrival, just previous to shutting down the app, and then use that to predict the departing direction when the app starts.
While this is simply annoying when I'm on a sleepy suburban street, it's absolutely maddening when it does this to me in Boston with it's 1-way streets and choppy GPS reception. Even when I begin driving sometimes it takes so long to recalculate that I miss a street that I should have taken to make my trip easier/faster.
PLEASE TRIAGE THIS AT THE TOP OF YOUR LIST AND FIX THIS ISSUE ALREADY. Thank you in advance!

They should remember what direction you were heading before parking. That way it should know which way you are facing.
