Add possibility to control a map (with connected android auto display) from the phone, it's more comfortably, phone hes better touch sensor and keyboard.

Select which lane a hazard or stopped vehicle is in on the motorway/freeway
Users should be able to select which lane a hazard or stopped vehicle is in on the motorway/freeway.
When driving on a multi-lane road, there's often reports of a hazard that cannot be seen. It would be more useful for "Which lane is the hazard in?" then select 1/2/3/4/5 so that drivers know specifically if it is likely to affect them.

Stored places sortable
The list of stored places should be sortable: newest on top, oldest on top, most used on top. At this time new stored places are at the end

Planning route
There is currently an issue with route planning, where if you are trying to plan a route the app automatically assumes that the trip is for "today." However if the time to travel the route will take you past midnight, then the app essentially gets stuck in a loop of trying to recalculate the arrival time, without letting you change the day for the planned arrival. This should be rectified so that you don't need to wait until after midnight to plan a route. This is problematic especially for longer routes.

In app widget
A great feature would be an in app widget for reports. Let the users choose a report shortcut to be added on the map. Just push one button of choice to send a report. It would be much better for safety.
My reports consists mostly of car on shoulder, I’d love to add a shortcut for that on my map.6 votes -
Accessibility
Suggestion:
Improve accessibility by offering larger and more legible text options for users with difficulty reading small, intricate, or black-colored fonts, as they appear in the current interface. Even with larger fonts and adjusted text styles enabled on my father's phone, the app doesn't adapt well to these settings, making it hard to read addresses and other details. I suggest implementing better accessibility features to address these needs.

Display toll price along with Toll Hazard
The idea would be applicable for users approaching toll booths. My suggestion is to display the toll price at the same time the Toll Hazard is displayed.

iOS live activities
Hi Waze team.!
Apple has added live activities to iOS a long time ago which allows apps to show you stuff from the Dynamic Island . Apple are already utilizing this feature in their Apple Maps app and users of Apple Maps can see directions and other stuff even when they are not using the app in the foreground .
I would like to ask if you can add this feature as well as it will greatly improve the usability of the app.

Too hard to report object on road
There are too ma y steps to report an object on the road. Report > hazard > scroll down > object on road.
Maybe have voice activated reporting?

interface for favorites
interface update makes it so difficult to get to favorites. have to swipe up and inadvertently swipe around the map. have to click search then to get to favorites or saved places. so difficult

Make the "speed camera" warning smaller in landscape
Hi :-)
I've been using Waze for a long time and I enjoy using it a lot.However lately the bar that shows arrival time has grown, leaving less space for the map.
That's not the worst though. The worst is that, when nearing a speed camera or speed enforcement zone, the warning covers almost half the screen, pushing the speedometer behind the directions. As you can maybe surmise, I'd really like to be able to see how fast I'm going when nearing a speed camera.
I use the app in landscape because that's the least intrusive way to fix…

Quand on roule en moto, on aime éviter les autoroutes. Mais parfois, pour gagner du temps, on doit les prendre. Afficher une icône pour signaler que l’évitement d’autoroutes est activé ou non serait bien utile quand on définit son itinéraire.

Mark red light cameras
There are new red light cameras in effect in Honolulu. Many are active and more to come this month. I wish this would be shown or easily marked because they are stationary cameras

When you need to take a tunnel (go down in tunnel)
Sometimes when you drive you have close choices on your way, take a tunnel or keep straigt on motorway.

Add 2 buttons to main screen
Puta separate “Police” and “Traffic on shoulder” buttons on the main screen on the right side. I am sure these are the two most frequently used buttons. Removing the additional steps for these two alerts will make it much easier on drivers AND encourage more participation amount users. My friend uses WAZE, but never alerts the app of police because it takes multiple steps to post alert. It will also provide a more accurate location since those two would need only one touch.

Vignette by country
Adding a vignette for specific country is very confusing. I see only shortcut of country name. I couldn't find vignette for Croatia. Please add option to select vignettes by country names (with flags maybe) or on the map.

Private roads should be marked a different colour
This is more for the map editors view on waze, but it would be greatly beneficial to have Private Roads marked as say a dark yellow, and for the off-roads to be marked as brown - just like in the map editor. Accidently went down a dead-end farm road and would have helped to have been aware of a private road colour.
This is a suggestion for the map editors UI view which can be activated in the Waze app. As a side note, have voted on another idea but please make Footpaths marked as a dotted line across both…

Waze sleeping mode shortcut for ios shortcuts
Could you please add settings in the waze to stop using GPS on the background or ios shortcut for sleeping mode?
I am using apple shortcut to start waze when I connect my phone to the bluetooth headset in my car. I am using navigation everytime I enter my car and looking for any way how to close waze, or stop location services - sleeping mode or any other solution to stop draining my battery. Flip or swap speed to other side of screen (for CarPlay) and/or make speed limit as big as actual speed.
Hi. Love Waze, but this idea is one of three that would take it from good to great for me...
Problem: For RH Drive vehicles, especially with CarPlay or where the phone is mounted to the left of the steering wheel, the speed limit (as opposed to actual speed) is too hard to read quickly while driving.
Some solutions:
1) A simple option to flip (or swap) the speed widget to the other side of the screen... and / or

Share route from car screen
Add a button on the car screen to share route with a pre-selected favorite contact.
I only share route with my wife, but I do this everyday. Currently I must start and share the route on my phone before Android Auto connects to the car wirelessly. A simple button to share to one contact using one app (eg: Whatsapp) would be very useful.
