Show tolls at the map with a button of ON/OFF so you can easily pick which ones to avoid and which ones to pass
Sometimes we have a long route with many tolls. Some of them are worth avoiding and some are not. The option for avoiding tolls is also too hidden.
The idea is to put on the map and/or on the represented route after you chose it, buttons on each toll so you can avoid them or not individually.
This way would be also easier to switch between avoiding and not avoiding.10 votes -
Add Bus stops.
We're already able to mark parking spots. I'd like to be able to mark where a bus stop is (maybe with route/bus names), be able to toggle it on/off the map and be able to search for it.

Partnership with blablacar?
Why not propose to blablacar users to program their trip and send it to waze account (and all planned stops), then the blablacar users can share their trip to their friends, they will be able to follow their trip through facebook (with the existing function).

Add a "quit Waze" button inside the top rubbon when the destination has been reached
When we arrive to destination. A rubbon is showed with "park" and 3 other buttons.
The idea is to add a button to quickly quit Waze which is what I do each time I arrive to destination :)

Identify passing official passing lanes on two way roads
Knowing when the next good passing opportunity is would help reduce driver frustration (maybe). Official passing lanes only though - not areas where anyone thinks you can pass.

TUNNEL
Daylight and getting into a tunnel the screen could darken to night mode to not bother the driver.

Display tunnels as hashed/broken lines
Tunnels should be displayed on the Waze client as hashed or broken lines.
Currently, tunnels are displayed on maps almost the same way as roads. This is confusing as you are not exactly sure when to turn, as Waze makes it look like there is another road to pass before you turn. If tunnels were shown to be dramatically different to roads, it would make the navigation experience better for all users.

Plugins!
Instead of competing against other products and services, why not allow them to be PART OF (feed info into) Waze? Plugins, if you will.
Case in point: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOyhnwA6MQo
Escort Live is a social driving program for people who use Passport Radars. Wouldn't it make more sense for everyone ("them" because they'd be able to enjoy Waze and its massive user database, and "us" because we'd get the real-time radar info?) if Escort Live was available inside Waze?
Waze is great because it's so clean, so I understand not wanting to have other data services "clutter up" the experience, so perhaps if a user wasn't "subscribed" to a service, then they wouldn't see the data in that "feed" in the first place.

Indicator on alert for direction
When an alert is displayed on the map, it is generally impossible to tell whether the alert applies to the current direction of travel or the opposite.

parking lot landmarks / traffic analysis
I would like to see certain landmarks not count as traffic analysis. If an area is marked as a restaurant, parking lot, gas station, etc.. the time a waze client spends there should NOT count against traffic analysis. Wazers can't be expecte to turn their nav system on and off just to order a burger, or fill up the tank. In reality, a nav system should be as "hands off" as possible for the daily commute. start waze when you get in the car.. go on your trip, pull over at the gas station and leave waze running. go through the drive through and order lunch.. etc. then when you reach your destination, turn waze off.

navigation list
bring back the navigation list. WAZE is good but occasionally makes mistakes and support and be able to know where you are being led. I would suggest the list pop-up when you touch the bar of the current next turn.

Add north south west east direction when reporting from iPhone
Add preset when reporting anything to waze via iPhone to show which direction drivers will see the report. Accident. Police etc. This also should show in the text description of the report. Same lane or other can help and this may show on the map. But it's hard to tell exactly what lane it's in. Ie, car stopped on shoulder may look on map like it's northbound lane when it's really south. Add direction of travel preset similar to same lane button.

Add intelligence to traffic jam detection
Often users parked will cause a false traffic jam to be reported, yet when stuck in traffic it is usual to be crawling or moving occasionally.
When Waze detects traffic conditions and pops up the question of whether you are in traffic please change the default response dependant on whether the vehicle has been moving or not. If it has been totally stationary please set default response to 'No' as in a total traffic jam the driver will most likely spot the dialogue, only use 'Yes' as the default action when there has been some movement which is much more likely to be traffic conditions.

Better iPad interface.
The iPad interface is a bit cumbersome to use while driving. I find many of the buttons are too small. I have my iPad docked in a RAM mount next to the stick shift, so its right next to my shift hand.
Different screens appear in different sizes (like the event selection screen is cut in half when reporting a hazard or similar).
Also, display of speed and similar information in the lower right should be larger, much like the turn-by-turn directions in the lower left.
I would also appreciate any prompt buttons to be larger. If the buttons could be twice the size, that would be great. I find the road/shoulder/weather buttons are the perfect size to tap with one hand while driving, and keeping your eyes on the road. The iPad interface is a bit cumbersome to use while driving. Event alerts-"On Route" as a default
I am tired of seeing like 22 event alerts (cops, traffic, etc.) while driving my inputed route. when I hit the red exclamation mark it takes me to them and then I can select "On Route" to find out which one's only apply to the way I'm going...why not make the "On Route" button the default instead of "Around Me"???

Feature of non-static Speedcams without approval from AM
There are two things that can be reported - Police and Speedcams. Police shows up immediately, but speedcams (according to the footnote) must be approved and a user will be warned about that only if driving with excessive speed. However there are non-static speedcams too. Most users are repoting them as a police trap, but this is actually a speedcam, and it is changing its location over time. Notifying user when driving with excessive speed is ok, but I think that notifyication about non-static speedcams should be in any case, for example if there is an error in a map and waze does not know correctly about the allowed speed on a particular road.
