The reporting interface is dangerous while driving and needs improvement
I think that there are quite a few suggestions indicating that the report interface is dangerous while driving and therefore needs improvement. It is not acceptable to go through several levels of clicks to make a report as one drives. It might be useful to allow one to rearrange or perhaps prioritize the report icons so that common reports are 'one click'. Linking the icons with a voice activation phrase is also a good idea that appears to have quite a few votes spread through several suggestion postings.

One click navigation to Saved places after starting waze
You start waze everyday and you everyday pick one of 5 routes.
But you need 3-4 clicks to do so and after every step, you have to do 3-4 quick decision and reading. It takes you attention to waaay too long.Imagine new optional One click home screen:
- no map on home page (but yes, there are button to show map)
- precalculated routes to all of your saved places IS there
- all routes with 3 best variants, your preffered way is highlighted and Allways Shown, major issues highlighted
How it should be - sorry for not uploading picture:
1) WORK (see road details)
road 1 - 17 min. (through Main st.) (light traffic logo) - GO in 3, 2, 1..
road 2 - 27 min. (through highway) (*preffered) (accident) - GO
road 3 - 35 min. (through Jefferson st.) (hard traffic logo) - GO2) HOME - turned off - because you are at home and waze know it. (with option to turn it on if its just GPS issue)
3) Grandma house (see road details)
road 1 - 37 min. (through Lincoln av.) (*preffered)- GO
road 2 - 41 min. (through highway) - GO
road 3 - 55 min. (through Jefferson st.) (police logo) - GO4) GF house (see details)
road 1 - 10 min. (through Lincoln av.) (*preffered) (police) - GO
road 2 - 15 min. (through highway) (light traffic) - GO
road 3 - 25 min. (through Jefferson st.) - GOpros:
ZERO click to got big pictureONE click start to daily routes or even monthly routes
you can start it even if car, if you see accident or traffic. you have better info RIGHT NOW without a single click or scrolling on map, so you acn do it while driving in a second without toutching - MUCH safer
if ux ++ then much more users will come
cons:
waze will have to do very quick road calculations (which can be slower). but there should be Loading bar under every location in this case and you should click on your favourite location to load that first.
maybe there should be an condition - no load in 3 seconds -> show just map, or this load bar will just be over the map in packed version, so you will see the map and after every route is calculated, it gets bigger.everyone sees your saved places or favourite ways. but if you dont save places like girlfriend 1 and girlfriend 2, you are supersafe :-)
if your telephone is stolen, someone will see your adresses, but it can be seen even if they are just saved.

CarPlay car audio Navigation volume test addition
I have noticed in two cars (my 2019 Nissan and a 2019 Subaru) that with CarPlay the "Navigation" volume can only be adjusted when the Waze app is actually "saying" something.
It is possible to stimulate a voice response (change to an alternate route and hit "go" or use the microphone to enter a nonsense command).
The addition of a "test navigation sound" to the "sound options" menu in Waze would be a more helpful and direct method to adjust the car's entertainment system "navigation" volume. Waze could just babble about something and show a tool tip "adjust car audio volume now" for 20 seconds or until the user exits the test.I have noticed in two cars (my 2019 Nissan and a 2019 Subaru) that with CarPlay the "Navigation" volume can only be adjusted when the Waze app is actually "saying" something.

police comments
Why has commenting on the police icon been disabled?
I've actually found this commentary to be very useful for telling people which side of the road an officer may have made a stop, in the case of move-over and slow-down laws, etc.
Very disappointing and uninformative.

use Iphone screen to display speedometer/speed limit when in carpay mode
When in apple carplay mode, use the iphone screen to display the speedometer/speedlimit in full screen. Pehaps as a third tab next to the directions, notifications tab. With the phone in a cradle close to the steering wheel this avoids having to glance to the far right of the main car screen to see the actual speed limit.

Rettungssgassen-Erinnerung
Es wäre toll wenn Waze in Staus auf Autobahnen den Fahrer optisch oder akkustisch an das Bilden der Rettungsgasse erinnert. Viele Fahrer vergessen das häufig, ich auch manchmal.

Keep the police reporting feature. That is your main strength. Fight the effort to eliminate it by police. It's free speech.
Keep the police reporting feature. We really have no use for Waze without it. It is free speech. You have the right to offer it. Stand up to police efforts to eliminate it.

Narrow street flags
Here in Pittsburgh, we're a city of hills, bluffs, and narrow, winding roads, and listening to Waze help navigate me has led to $400 in repairs and 3 near accidents in the past 2 months by taking me through poorly maintained streets and roads so narrow that, while not legally-required to be one way, nevertheless make for perilous travel with few opportunities to turn around and try another route.
If users or editors could flag narrow streets and if an option was labeled to avoid these streets, similar to the options to avoid toll roads, it would be a major boon. I imagine the commercial sector would appreciate this as well so that you don't send a delivery truck down a road in which it may not be able to navigate safely.
I've been using Waze for years and I really like it, but the past couple months have really been pushing this to the forefront.

Option to hide "Select vehicle type" button
I stopped needing to use Waze for a while, so I'm not sure when it was added, but one of the "new" changes I noticed right away when using it recently, and that I absolutely hate, is the "Select vehicle type" button that is now ALWAYS visible. That makes no sense. I can't imagine many people are switching vehicle types on a regular basis, and it should be optional so those that are can have it there and those that have no need for it don't have it sitting there being distracting. And even people that do have a use for it would be served just as well with a button with a picture of a car on the bottom toolbar, out of the way, not ON THE MAP..

Alerts
Instead of "Watch out!" when there is an alert, it would be less alarming to say "Caution" or "Be advised."

Connect with train position tracking systems
Connect Waze and train position tracking systems like http://provoz.szdc.cz/grappnv/ to warn the driver in advance that he/she is approaching rail crossings and a train is in near vicinity and therefore there is serious danger and he/she should be aware of it. I can help you with implementation in Czech Republic. Thanks.

UPDATE SECTION: Warning on the route
Currently, if we are on a highway with 2, 3 or more strips per sense, and an accident is reported, although the road is crowded, we do not know which band to fall in to avoid the accident.
After the warning buttons like: accident, hole, works, etc
Show the selection of the band on which the warning is placed
Let's have options, three lanes.
This will help us whether we are on a road with a band, or that we are on a 5-lane highway
After this UPDATE, if we are on a highway with 2, 3 or more strips per sense, and an accident is reported on the right side, for example, although the road is crowded (WAZE users that are over 50% of the traffic) let's go back to the left of the time, avoid the accident.
