Permanent “End of Pavement” Alert
In several regions, especially on state highways and rural roads, there is an abrupt transition in pavement—for example, the end of the asphalted section and the beginning of a dirt or basalt-stone road. These sudden surface changes can catch drivers by surprise, particularly during low-visibility hours, adverse weather conditions, or on higher-speed roads.
Technical and Road Safety Justification:
Changes in pavement type can pose significant risks to drivers, such as:
Rear-end collisions, when the vehicle ahead suddenly slows upon noticing the change in pavement;
Loss of control and roadway departures, due to loose gravel, irregularities, or reduced traction on dirt or basalt surfaces;Increased braking distance, especially when transitioning from asphalt to a more unstable surface.
A similar situation is already recognized by road authorities, and several highways physically signpost “End of Pavement.” The alert would follow the same usability logic and importance as the current “Sharp Curve,” “Complex Intersection,” and other warnings already implemented in the app.Implementation Proposal:
Create a new type of permanent alert that allows editors to map points where the following occurs:
End of asphalt pavement, or
Transition to gravel/basalt stones/compact dirt. This alert would be displayed to drivers with adequate advance notice, allowing for planned speed reduction and improved operational safety, aligning with good practices in road signage and accident prevention.

Ich habe einige Worte
Hallo liebes Waze Team,

The leave later function
You've changed the leave layer function to accommodate only travel planned in advance. It no longer works if I decide I need to go to town TODAY and want to arrive at 4 pm, what time should I leave. I understand the concept of planning a trip in advance but I won't use it. I used the prior leave later function all the time and loved it. I suggest you include both. Let wazers who plan in advance do so before the day of their departure. But please bring back the more immediate function of leave later so those of us who are more spontaneous and loved that feature are able to know right now what time to leave TODAY without jumping through all the hoops of preplanning

Bitte Staus umfahren. Lieber Umweg als Stau.

Speed camera alerts only when speeding
Current speed camera alerting is an on/off toggle. You can choose to either be alerted about the camera or not. It would be nice to have the option to be alerted only if you are above (or close) to the speed limit.

Gansbaai is not referred to as Gans Bay
Gansbaai is a valid Town in South Africa. Gans Bay does not exist and is the incorrect use of the Town Name.
Olease update your Maps

In App Purchases
Please make a contract with the Celebrities where we can PURCHASE THE VOICE so we can always have it downloaded on our phones. I would gladly pay for a voice if I got to keep that voice. Give us a couple weeks to allow us to try it and split the proceeds with that celebrity or IP. Get a lawyer and get this drawn up already. I would have bought five different voices by now.

Keep Navigation Active After Arrival
I would like to suggest a feature that allows users to keep navigation active even after reaching the destination. In many situations, especially when it is difficult to find parking, drivers need to circle the surrounding area. When Waze automatically ends navigation upon arrival, it becomes harder to maintain orientation and understand nearby traffic conditions. Allowing navigation to remain active until the user chooses to stop it would provide better spatial awareness, improve safety, and offer a more flexible experience in real-world scenarios.

Add "Baby", the Black 67 Chevy Impala from Supernatural as a vehicle choice.
With the millions of fans of the Supernatural series, we would love to have Dean's car "Baby" as an option.

I like the idea of Google Maps saying "Welcome to..." when you cross from one state to another. I'd like to hear that in Waze.

Highway Forecast
theweathernetwork.com used to have a map called "highway forecast conditions". Either they removed it or i can't find it. They still have 'highway conditions', which shows a current snapshot, but its not the same. If i'm planning a drive from Montreal to Toronto which can take 6 hours (good weather) or 9 hours (black ice develops during the trip, roads closed), that is plenty of time for ice or snow to move in. Similarly, if i check at 6am and the roads have snow, they would usually be cleared later in the day if the snow has stopped.

Like Google maps when you go home it opens a mini player.
This would make me switch entirely from Google maps.1 vote -

Stop giving me only OK to select new route, need a NO option
Stop giving me only OK to select new route, Give me a NO option to leave route as is.
Sometimes the original route is the better route or I have a route I want to use and do not want to change it.
Waze gives only one option and that is to say OK. We need a NO button as well to use.1 vote -
Since I drive alone frequently and use Waze almost exclusively, I would love to voice report any hazard, vehicle, or accident
I’d like to say “Waze report debris on right (or left) side of road.” As an example.
