Always-On" Dynamic Hazard Progress Bar on Main Navigation Screen.
I am proposing the integration of a persistent, dynamic progress bar located directly above the bottom ETA panel. The goal is to allow drivers to anticipate upcoming road events without needing to interact with the screen.
Key Features:
Always Visible: This bar should be a permanent fixture of the main navigation UI, removing the need to open sub-menus or the "Route Overview" to see upcoming hazards.
Real-Time Tracking: A vehicle marker moving toward alert icons (police, hazards, crashes) to provide an instant visual cue of how close an event is.
Enhanced Safety: By keeping this information constantly visible, the driver avoids unnecessary taps on the screen, keeping their focus on the road.I am proposing the integration of a persistent, dynamic progress bar located directly above the bottom ETA panel. You should add again the option to text coments
Hi. It's important for drivers to be able to include text messages in their reports. Currently, this isn't possible in Lima, Peru. I'm sure the community in Peru is very unhappy with this new update.

Motorway light signals
We have motorway traffic light signals that are sometimes in operation to control volume of traffic entering motorway system. Can create delays and other traffic congestion which could be avoided for alternative routes.

Regional volunteers should be able to mark long term or recurring problems
Volunteers (i.e., the same folks who handle map reports) should have the ability to mark areas that have long term issues or are frequently reported for the same thing.
Example use cases:
Long term road construction
Construction over a long stretch of road where an individual report might not be in the right place for a Wazer to see
Regular lane blockages (e.g., when the outside lane of a road is available for parking at certain hours)

Can u disable Potholes as an alert?
Can u disable Potholes as an alert? Any small ***** in a road - its being marked as a pothole. Creating unnecessary alerts as users as just looking to gather points. Very distracting to genuine users.

Notify users to update their app via in-app notification
Some users are still on old or very old versions of Waze app. This doesn't generally affect them or other users. However, when such users raise URs, the description field in WME for those URs show 'Reported map issue'. This, at the time of writing, also affects automated replies to URs, from Map Team account.
For e.g., see https://www.waze.com/discuss/t/introducing-automatic-replies-for-urs-without-description-enhanced-filtering/397655/122?u=darkestways thread.

Adding an option to Verification in the WME via SMS
Sometimes I need it and think it's as secure as two-step verification

When clicking on a road closure within an event, the map will pan to that road closure.
In Taiwan, we often have simultaneous road closures across multiple regions. This usually happens during public holidays based on government traffic forecasts. Furthermore, Taiwan frequently experiences natural disasters like typhoons and earthquakes. As a result, we often need to set up preemptive road closures in various areas, or report roads that are completely cut off due to disaster damage.
Currently, when users receive an Event notification containing a list of these closures, it's difficult for them to immediately pinpoint the exact locations on the map. They have to manually pan around the map to find where a specific closed road on the list actually is.
I suggest adding a feature where, when a user is viewing the road closure list within an event, clicking or tapping on a specific road will automatically pan and center the map on that closure.

Grato

MP3 upload for custom voices
Having the ability to upload MP3 files instead of recordings would make the audio quality much better and make it more customizable. I know others have already made this suggestion, but there is strength in numbers.

Emergency vehicle live intervention alert to clear traffic
Hi Waze Team,
I would like to suggest a feature that could significantly improve emergency response times and road safety.
When police cars, ambulances, fire trucks, or other emergency vehicles are actively responding to an intervention, they could activate a special “Emergency Mode” within Waze (restricted to verified official vehicles only).
Drivers using Waze nearby would then receive a real-time alert such as: “Emergency vehicle approaching – Please clear the way.”The alert could:
- Notify drivers within a certain radius ahead of the emergency vehicle
- Display a visual warning on the map
- Provide a voice alert encouraging drivers to move aside
- Possibly highlight the direction of approach
In heavy traffic situations, this could help create a coordinated clearing corridor more quickly.Because millions of drivers use Waze daily, this feature could:
- Reduce emergency response times
- Improve safety for responders
- Reduce confusion in traffic jams
- Support “Move Over” laws
This would transform Waze from a navigation tool into an active public safety assistant.Thank you for considering this idea
