Suggestion: Allow Users to Report Temporary Road and Bridge Closures via the Waze Website
I'm getting quite frustrated with Waze, as multiple times during my commute from work to home, it has directed me towards bridges or roads that are closed due to construction work.
I think Waze should introduce an interactive map on its desktop website that allows users to easily report temporary road closures, bridge closures, roadworks, and other blockages.
Some features I'd like to see include:
- Report closures from a PC: Allow users to select a road or bridge directly on the map and report a temporary closure.
- Bridges as selectable locations: Make bridges identifiable on the map so users can report when a specific bridge is closed.
- Temporary construction zones: Allow users to mark areas where roadworks are taking place, including the affected roads.
- Upload photographic evidence: Let users upload a photo of a road closure sign showing the dates and times of the closure.
- Manually enter closure times: Allow users to specify when a closure starts and ends, including recurring closures (e.g. overnight roadworks between 8 PM and 6 AM).
- Community verification: Allow other Waze users to confirm whether a reported closure is still in place.
- Better route planning: Ensure reported closures are considered when Waze calculates routes, preventing drivers from being directed towards roads that are known to be closed.
I understand that Waze relies heavily on community reports, but not everyone can safely report a closure while driving. Having the option to report closures from a computer after completing a journey would make it much easier to keep the map accurate.
The main goal is simple: if a road or bridge is closed, Waze should know about it before directing drivers towards it.
I believe these features would significantly improve the experience for commuters and help prevent unnecessary diversions, wasted fuel, and frustration.

Option to move Report Button to the left side on CarPlay
As a left-handed driver sitting on the left side of the vehicle, having the CarPlay report button permanently fixed on the right side of the screen is very inconvenient and counter-intuitive. It forces me to reach across the entire screen with my non-dominant hand or awkwardly with my left hand.
Please add a manual setting in Waze to toggle the CarPlay layout/UI buttons between the left and right sides, regardless of the vehicle's default steering wheel configuration. This would greatly improve accessibility for left-handed drivers.1 vote -

I would like to suggest a new road safety feature for Waze: automatically identifying and warning drivers about roads with a high risk of wildlife crossings.
The idea is to use crowdsourced data from Waze users who report wild animals near or on roads, including deer, wild boar and other wildlife.
Instead of displaying only temporary reports, Waze could analyse accumulated data over time to identify high-risk road segments. The system could consider the frequency and location of reports, time of day, season and historical patterns.
When approaching a high-risk segment, drivers would receive an early warning such as:
“Caution: Increased wildlife activity ahead.”
The alerts could be dynamic, appearing only when the data indicates an elevated risk, for example during dawn, dusk or seasonal periods of increased animal movement.
To improve reliability, the system could use a confidence threshold and regularly update risk levels as new reports arrive.
This feature could help prevent wildlife collisions, protect drivers and passengers, reduce vehicle damage and save animal lives.
Rather than simply reporting an animal after it has been spotted, Waze could use its community-driven data to predict where drivers should be especially careful before an incident occurs.
I believe this would be a valuable addition to Waze’s road safety features, especially in rural areas and forested regions across Europe.

Add more proposals during intial choice
Choose from fast, economical, best compromise ,usual routes to let the user have more hands on when chossing the roads to go through.
This will allow community to have there prefered routes in the suggestions and some user oriented optimised routes.1 vote -

Never ask driver to react to a change proposed by the app, this puts him on danger.

Hello Waze Support Team,
I would like to report a visual issue with the Waze app on the iPhone 15 Pro. When using navigation in landscape mode, a black bar appears on the screen. It cannot be removed and negatively affects the app’s appearance and user experience.
Could you please investigate this issue and consider fixing it in a future update?
P.S. The same issue has also been observed on the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 13.

Waze on CarPlay Stops podcast
When using Waze on CarPlay while listening to a podcast—whether through Apple’s native Podcasts app or third-party apps like iVoox—the podcast playback stops whenever Waze issues a voice alert. Although the setting to mix both audio sources is enabled, the podcast still pauses instead of playing simultaneously as expected.

NEW AI-powered cameras for unsafe behaviours (mobile phone- smoking- drinking etx)
New permanent AI-powered cameras have been installed to detect and report drivers who fail to wear seatbelts or engage in distracting and unsafe behaviours while driving, such as talking on a mobile phone, smoking, eating, or drinking.
A new warning icon must be created to warn drivers about these cameras. these are permanent standstill cameras

CarPlay Integration
Hi Waze Team. Would really appreciate integration into heads up display and in the display screen. My 2023 Mercedes integrates with Google Maps for heads up display and display screen. Waze still doesn’t. I enjoy Waze UI, would benefit greatly with its integration into car software and hardware.

serious distractions when loking for alternate routes
When using CarPlay, the process of searching for alternative routes becomes increasingly complicated and causes many distractions while driving.
It currently requires three steps for me:
1. Tap “More routes” on the main screen
2. Tap “Alternative routes” again in the pop-up that opens
3. Physically scroll between the three routes, some of which are partially hidden
CarPlay is meant to reduce distractions, yet right now the app does the opposite — and this is very dangerous.
Using the app on the phone requires only one tap and the routes appear clearly. There’s no reason it shouldn’t work the same way in CarPlay.

Zip code
Post zip code when researching addresses. I know I'm not the only one who clicks Waze to check a zip cod on an address and have to go to Apple Maps instead for that specific reason solely. If it were not for this I probably wouldn't even open Apple Maps.

Feature Request: Add LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas / Autogas) as a Fuel Type Selection
Hello Waze Team and Community,
I would like to formally request the addition of LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas / Autogas) to the 'Preferred Fuel Type' selector in the app settings, as well as the ability to view and update its prices at gas stations.
Reasons for this request:
1. High regional adoption: LPG is a widely used alternative fuel for millions of drivers and commercial fleets across many countries in Europe and Latin America.
2. Navigation and price accuracy: Currently, the app only allows selection between Gasoline, Diesel, or Electric options. Without an LPG filter, drivers of LPG vehicles cannot easily locate stations that offer this fuel, nor can we accurately report or check updated prices.
3. Enhanced user experience: Adding this option would empower the community to keep the LPG station database organized, accurate, and helpful for everyone.Thank you in advance for considering this suggestion and to community members for upvoting this feature!
