My Rank and the scoreboard
I'm bummed that you only show the top 50 wazers on the scoreboard. I'm ranked 299 (kinkstone) currently and I want to see the spread of points above and below me.
Please add a pair of options at the top of the list (where you show all v. state and all times v. weekly) where I can choose between "top" or "around me". When showing the scoreboard around me, show the 50 wazers with me centered in the list.
That way I can see the movement and score distribution of people like me.

Add option "district/district name" in the street naming part
When a (bigger) city has several parts/ districts with different names, it could be nice to see at certain level of zoom the district name. When you zoom close enough, you should be aware of the city name already and thus district name would be imho more suitable.

Add intelligence to traffic jam detection
Often users parked will cause a false traffic jam to be reported, yet when stuck in traffic it is usual to be crawling or moving occasionally.
When Waze detects traffic conditions and pops up the question of whether you are in traffic please change the default response dependant on whether the vehicle has been moving or not. If it has been totally stationary please set default response to 'No' as in a total traffic jam the driver will most likely spot the dialogue, only use 'Yes' as the default action when there has been some movement which is much more likely to be traffic conditions.

Delayed reports
While you're driving, you haven't time to report. So it would be great if I can touch the screen to hold the real place where a report have to be placed. So you can complete the report when you stop.

Use the Bluetooth mesh for alerts when there is no internet connection (like Bitchat)
Using Bluetooth mesh technology to create a network where each device sends an alert to the next device, until one of the devices is connected to the internet and that alert is sent to the network. Just like it's done with the Bitchat app.
Many times we drive a very long stretch without internet access, and important events happen on the road that we need other drivers to see. With this Bluetooth network activated, we can share with drivers near us, and they can share with those closest to them, eventually reaching someone who has satellite internet or even mobile data.Using Bluetooth mesh technology to create a network where each device sends an alert to the next device, until one of the devices is connected to the internet and that alert is sent to the network. Add Support for Oval Country-Code Symbols in Visual Instructions
Description:
In many European and international transit corridors, road authorities frequently use the white oval country‑code symbol (e.g., A, D, CH, H, I, SLO, HR) on direction signs, gantries, and even road surface markings. These symbols are universally recognized by drivers and originate from the international vehicle registration codes defined in the Geneva Convention on Road Traffic (1949) and the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic (1968).Because these ovals appear prominently on real-world signage—especially in countries with heavy cross‑border traffic—they are an essential visual cue for navigation. However, in Waze they are currently difficult and cumbersome to reproduce in visual instructions. Editors must resort to workarounds that reduce clarity and consistency (create temp segment, add a white oval road sign, add to visual instruction, remove temp segment).
Why this matters:
* The oval country codes are highly recognizable, even at a glance.
* They are used on official road signs, across Europe and beyond.
* They help drivers quickly identify international routes, border directions, and transit corridors.
* Adding native support would improve accuracy, readability, and editor efficiency.Request:
Please add built‑in support for oval country‑code symbols in Waze visual instructions. Either as a dedicated icon set or as a simple markup element. This would align Waze more closely with real-world signage and significantly enhance navigation clarity for millions of cross-border drivers. Some examples of real-world road signs with oval country symbols:

Always choose WME items over Google Map items
A place (area or point or residential) or House number entered into Waze Map Editor should ALWYS be chosen over a Google Maps import in Waze’s Search.
This is very frustrating to users since they are often routed to the wrong location. It is also very frustrating to editors since their work to update the map is ignored. If a person searches 123 Main St, City, State, then their search should show the 123 Main St, City, State (From WME) as the first item and not 123 Main Street, City State from Google Maps. (With 133 Main Street, City, State from WME either down a few spots (with a different distance from your location) or not shown at all.One way could be to have RPPs get a link to google addresses similar to the way a Google Maps place(s) can be linked to Point Places or Area Places.

Display more (limited) house numbers at destination
Short version: When approaching your destination display not only the pin for the address that you're arriving at, but also one, two or three addresses before and after the address. Example: navigating to 122 Main St would show up with the navigation pin, but also show a small number 114 and 118 before, and 126 and 130 after the pin.
When working for a delivery app like Door Dash, Uber Eats, Uber, Lyft, Instacart, Walmart Spark, Amazon Flex, Grub Hub, etcetera you're just trying to get to the location, drop the package, and move on to your next delivery. Often times it's very difficult to see any house numbers on the buildings themselves as much of this happens after dark and people for some reason don't like to turn on their porchlights (reddit is complete with complaints for this on any of the delivery subs). When using the built in GPS for whichever app you're talking about it will typically display not only the various house numbers as you get closer to the destination but also a polygon. I'm sure the polygon would be out of the question, but just having the house numbers displayed for a few before and after the destination would be immensely helpful. Imagine you're waiting for a delivery of food, there's your house and two others on your side of the road, and your driver gets to your house only to stammer for a few minutes not sure which house to deliver to.

speed warning PERMANENTLY
I would like to see the OPTION to enable the acoustic warning chime PERMANENTLY as long as you drive faster than the speed limit.
Currently this warning chime will only appear once, but in my case for me it would be safer and easier to follow the speed limits when this sound would appear as long as you drive too fast. In this case the warning sound would work like the overspeed warning in airplanes, which definitely makes sense.
And because some people could not like this, it should be an aditional option in the settings. Please concider this, as this would definitely not be a major expence in programming and would make Waze also cooler.

Temporary Speed Limits for Road Works
I would like to suggest adding functionality to Waze that supports temporary speed limits on road segments affected by road works. This would work similarly to the current "Closures" feature in the Waze Map Editor (WME).
Reason for Request:
This summer, we have received numerous reports from drivers through the mobile app, indicating incorrect speed limits displayed on roads under construction. Currently, setting temporary speed limits and later restoring the original limits after the road works are completed is a time-consuming, double effort for us.A "Temporary Speed Limits for Road Works" feature would not only streamline the process of displaying accurate speed limits during road work but also allow us to retain the original speed limits without needing to manually restore them after the works are finished. This would improve efficiency and ensure accurate information is provided to drivers.
Proposed Workflow:
. In WME, introduce a "Road Works" option.
https://i.ibb.co/BjjGR0Z/wme-works.png
a. Users can select specific road segments affected by road works.
b. Set start date/time and end date/time like for Closures. Once marked as "Road Works," these segments will display a temporary speed limit icon in the Waze mobile app, reflecting the adjusted speed limit during the construction period.

Enable full control in the app using voice only
Add an option to interact with the app using voice control
for instance :
reporting an obstacle on the road using Siri/Google assistant,
rerouting to a new destination while driving,
share your location using a voice command.
All these options should prevent the user from touching the phone while driving and decrease distractions.
The convenience of using the app while talking only will increase the amount of users reporting , and interacting with the many options given in the app.
This will lead to more credible information to be provided for the users.12 votes
