  2. Let us filter shown closures on the map after date

Recently due to the carnival festivals in south germany, where you have to close multiple segments in big areas on multiple different days and times, I have noticed that it sometimes gets confusing on which segments you have already closed for which day.

For example when I put a closure for the 15th Feb. then the segment appears with the gray icon showing that there is a upcoming closure. If the whole inner-city gets closed then ALL segments will have that gray icon showing an upcoming closure but in this scenario I also need to close ALL these segments for…

  3. Keep Google Map Links Import

Matching Feed imports to Waze places should keep Google Maps links placed by editors. Currently, when matching feed runs, the Waze place is stripped of linked Google places. Alternatively, if the businesses are the clients of matching feed, Waze could make matching feed a bundled service covering Waze and Google Maps.

  4. Add In Car notification for Map Issues Request

With prevalence of In Car integration for Waze the large number of Map Issue being reported is done via Android Auto or Car Play.

When editors or as of now automated ping requests additional information there is no notification to the User through the In Car integration that this has occurred the user will need to check email through which they can't reply or the app, which most in car users don't open.

Can we have the notification for the user in car and what would be even more helpful is to give user ability to reply via voice to…

  5. Road Closure Metrics

It would be nice to be able to see how many people were successfully rerouted around a closure. We specifically use road closures for emergencies like crashes on major roadways, and it would be beneficial to be able to see how effective that is.

  6. WME EVENT Page Upgrade Suggestion

Hello. I would like to suggest an improvement to Events: it should be possible, directly within the Event Page, to manage the associated road closure(s) by enabling or disabling them. Additionally, it would be useful to define new schedules for each closure—specifically, if a closure is extended, the Event duration itself should automatically update to match, even if it’s just one or a small part of the multiple associated closures. Thank you.

  7. Add a flag to RTC to warn about the approaching final date

An editor should be able to "subscribe" to a specific RTC in order to receive a note message when the RTC is approaching its final date or is cancelled before the final date.

  10. Prevent segment node merging in certain cases

Just like when the speed limit or name differs between two segments we are trying to merge, merging segments by deleting a node should not be allowed if:

    • the segment elevations are different
    • the number of lanes is different
    • segment alternate addresses are different (or one does not contain an alternate address and one does)

The goal is to prevent segment elevation or routing errors when cleaning up seemingly unnecessary junction nodes in an area.

I might be forgetting some cases, so please feel free to add any relevant ones in the comments!

  11. Use AI to see the live traffic levels in each turn lane/lanes going to different major roads

Use AI to see the live traffic levels in each lane based on user data and traffic movement. This could be a turn lane to turn left/right, or say if lanes 1&2 go to the M25 and 3&4 carry onto the A3. As the people who go to the M25 is queueing, AI could determine the estimated travel times by people who have already sat in the traffic queue by which direction they end up going.

This will give more accurate arrival times and better routes for the user.

  12. Visual only Traffic Lights

    Hi Waze Team and Community,

I’d like to suggest the implementation of a visual-only Permanent Hazard for traffic lights (eg. located at pedestrian crossings that are not part of an intersection or junction).

Currently, to map a traffic light, we often have to split segments to create a junction. However, on long roads with simple pedestrian crossings, "breaking" the segment can negatively impact routing data and unnecessarily complicate the map.

Having a specific "Traffic Light" hazard (similar to the "Red Light Camera" but without the enforcement/fine implication) would allow:
Better driver awareness of upcoming stops for pedestrians.
    Cleaner map geometry,…

  13. Multiple sets of hours

Add the capability for editors to add multiple sets of hours for an establishment. This feature would be especially beneficial for banks and pharmacies. At banks, ATMs are often open 24/7, while human tellers, consultants, notaries, and other banking personnel are not at banks 24/7. At pharmacies, the convenience store and the pharmacy itself mostly have different hours. Finally, there are some establishments with delivery hours and/or drive-thru hours that differ from the establishment's standard operating hours.

  14. 2D Hazards

I'm not sure if this sort of thing will be covered in Permanent Hazards development, but it would be very handy to be able to define an area polygon to which a hazard report would apply.
To me, the obvious application would be for prolonged construction zones where roads remain open but users ought to be made aware of an issue ahead.
    How I see this working:
An editor would draw a polygon over the affected area and then choose a hazard type and add an optional comment to the polygon. It should be possible to define schedules and an…

  15. Better history for place update

    Hey,

in place edit history, it would be nice to have more details on PUR : the only status is accepted or rejected.
Maybe it is not easy to tell what photo was refused or a refused change name, but it would be nice to know what was the updated fields (was it about adding or removing a photo, rename the venue).

  16. Show RPP PUR's on feed list

There is no privacy issue involved here.

There's simply a pin in the map, among many others, but I can't find them like any others, just because category is "residential"

The privacy issues are solved by the already omitted creator/updater of the place. By not showing them, you are simply making it harder for the PUR be moderated, as we have to scan the map or rely on scripts to do that.

So, plainly: RPP PUR's should be shown in feed list just as any other PUR.

OBS: Previous discussion took place here: https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=211&t=249211&p=1774596#p1774596

  17. Remove Two-Way Segments

Two-way segments are very rarely necessary and are very often overused by map editors to oversimplify maps. Even the smallest "two-way roads" have at least one lane dedicated to each of the two directions. Having each segment representing a single roadway will permit maps and navigation that are more intuitive to the users of the app, and perhaps help avoid the tendency of editors to try to combine separate roadways into one segment.

  18. Enable Undo after Save

It happened to me a couple of times. I deleted and element, clicked Save, and then understood it wasn't the element I meant to delete.

It would be great to enable undo changes that have been just saved.

  20. Update Request Submission Time

The submission time listed for URs SHOULD indicate the time the reporter clicks the report button in the app, NOT the time it is submitted/sent. The timestamp of sending is not as important as the timestamp when the button is pressed (i.e. for verifying Time Based TRs)
