"Take me back the same way I came!"
"Take me back the same way I came!" Garmin has such an option and it is very useful, especially when the driver gets lost. It can be turned on and off at will.

Allow editors to view restrictions (view only) regardless of their lock level.
Allow editors to view segment restrictions (view only) regardless of their lock level. This would be informative and a learning tool as to how advanced editors set up segment restrictions correctly.

Color scheme
On highways the exit matters a lot not being able to read an exit because of the color scheme used by waze make us skip the exit and go to next exit. Surprisingly not always but sometimes the color for exits is white letters with yellow/ orange background which makes it hard to read especially at night.
Kindly stick to black letters on bule background or something thing similar to help read the exit sign

Improvement for lanes
I am attaching a suggestion here to allow adding lanes in node that refer to a "far turn". Implementing this suggestion will solve all the problems of setting lanes (including extreme complicated junctions, H and # junctions) without the need for any heuristics! It will work at any junctions even if it is extremely complex with many auxiliary segments.
In the WME:
When defining lanes to a segment, turns are automatically displayed for the end of the segment with the segment names to which they refer.
My suggestion is to add an option for adding to lanes a "far turns".…5 votes -
Please, fix editor map behavior for trackpad's
It is almost impossible to use zooming in the map editor via trackpad.
No problems using it for usual map or any other google map, though.4 votes -
Display the edit history of map comments
Currently, WME only shows the date the map comment was created and then the date it was last edited. The details in the history pane that is shown for places and road segments is not currently available for map comments.

Option to avoid streets with steep hills
Please include option to avoid steep hills. With lockdown, driving isn’t an everyday thing so driving a manual car is getting harder and harder.

At railroad crossings add a toggle feature to alert when trains are actively passing

RoadBlock option
The other day the whole street I was routed too was blocked by the police and firefighters ( have to go for alternative routes for many, many blocks ) and when I try to report it in the map didn’ found this option

Rest Stop feature to every 1 1/2 or 2 and notify rest area is closed.
I just came off a long trip we tried to stop every two hours and ran into a couple stipulations we need to stop. Having a handicapped daughter we need to stop and where we thought the rest area was open it was closed. Quite racking trying to find a stop. Hope you can figure this out and add an option for closures and rest time.

Option for not enabling Closed updates layer when opening UR
The latest version of WME will now enable the Closed updates layer when opening a UR. Many editors don't want or need this, so I am suggesting a toggle (setting) to prevent this from occurring.

Allow assigning house numbers from the map while there.
I go a lot of places and the house numbers in some areas are either nonexistent or just plain wrong. It would be nice to edit the map while on the street with the house numbers.

Route by best value rather than fastest route
Waze has, on multiple occasions, suggested long detours that are expected to only be a few minutes faster. When you consider the fuel-costs, cost to operate, etc. this is equivalent to paying a toll to save a few minutes.
If a wazer could specify the value of their time and the cost of operating their vehicle then the route planning could find the route with the lowest cost (cost being value of one minute X duration of drive plus operating cost X length of drive).
Since many wazers might not understand how to determine the correct value for their time…
