Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to May be considered, since we finalized our plans for 2025 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.

1. If Waze is in the foreground and the device is locked, do not require unlocking in order to continue navigating. A must for usability!
2. Allow navigation /(preferably via an option) to continue in PiP (picture in picture) mode when Waze is minimized.
3. When Waze is minized, allow timely detailed pop-up notifications with instructions for upcoming turn and other important events.
I don't use an iPhone and I realize the reason these features are not implemented might be to keep feature parity with an iPhone, but I don't see Maps being crippled for the same reason. This is just unacceptable.
