This suggestion will not be implemented for the time being. Adding more and more options to reporting, especially for less popular types of reports such as other side which will also require another window/card, is not something we are aiming for at the moment. Please be aware that other side reporting is already available by voice using the Google Assistant! We believe investing in voice can create essentially a better and more scalable experience and we hope to bring it to more languages soon.

I have to physically disconnect my phone from CarPlay to report a closure I encounter, which is dangerous. I'm not sure why CarPlay can't be set to create the same interface for an upcoming intersection only (understand why you might not want users to move the map while driving).
