Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Currently Not Planned, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.

Yes, this is very frustrating. I have been using Waze for years, and I remember it being like that back then. However, I know Waze has changed it due to some "incompetent" users marking roads that was not closed, or to avoid roads marked accidentally. I think the app should at least then keep the road as closed for the user who reported it on his own device, until a third person or more also report it, before publishing it as closed to the rest of the users.
