   Why Choose AVD for DaaS?
   As a DaaS offering, AVD is highly cost-effective compared to scaling up a traditional virtual desktop environment in your own data center. With the business disruption during COVID-19, companies were trying to find ways to extend their remote work infrastructure while keeping their operating expenses low. Companies already on a Microsoft ecosystem, such as Windows 10 Enterprise or Microsoft 365, had additional incentives to make the shift; I will explain why further down.

The right user experience increases productivity. You don’t want to frustrate your valuable employees with a clunky experience while they work from home. Now, let’s explore what makes AVD a robust offering that could have sustainable growth even after more employees return to the office.

   The Azure Advantage
   With AVD, the infrastructure and management components of a traditional on-premises virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) disappear into the cloud—just like a dinosaur-shaped cloud merges back into indescribable formations on the backdrop of the beautiful blue sky on a sunny day. (Read my post on Windows Server/SQL Server end life for more dinosaur metaphors.) Thanks to this merging, Microsoft is taking back critical components of a traditional VDI—such as brokering, load-balancing, compute, storage, and diagnostics—from your plate, which will let your precious IT talent focus on other strategic areas with growth potential.

   Hosting your desktops on Azure also means you get Azure’s state-of-the-art security features. I believe Azure is considered the most secure public cloud platform, and AVD provides the best DaaS security model for customers. With AVD, users can only access their virtual machines (VMs) by going through the Azure Active Directory authentication system. This means companies can use multifactor authentication and conditional access according to their needs and depending on the employee profile. Also, Azure uses reverse connect technology that lets you run a VM without keeping any inbound ports open. This means that the VMs on AVD are not exposed to the Internet directly.

   Windows 10 Multisession
   Unlike the traditional RDI, Azure Virtual Desktop allows multiple sessions on a Windows 10 VM. This means that an organization can have multiple users access the same virtual machine while reducing the cost of maintaining multiple VM licenses. Also, these sessions are isolated from each other, which gives higher security and privacy.

   FSLogix Profile Containers
   The FSLogix piece solidifies my above point about the superior Windows 10 and Office experience on AVD. Microsoft acquired FSLogix a few years back and integrated its profile container technology into its Azure and Microsoft 365 ecosystems. With FSLogix profile container technology integrated to AVD, Microsoft has revolutionized the way the end-user experience works in non-persistent virtual machine sessions. An AVD user profile will follow a user even if they do not use the same virtual machine session every time they access AVD virtual machines.

   The integration of FSLogix containers also significantly impacts how your Microsoft Apps (formerly Office 365 ProPlus) and OneDrive experience work with AVD. FSLogix with AVD can provide you the most productive Microsoft 365 Apps experience. The FSLogix technology on AVD also allows OneDrive to sync when the user roams through non-persistent sessions.

   Access AVD from Any Operating System

   אפשרות למסלול נסיעה עם שותפים בכלי רכב אחרים. כך שעל המסלול תהיה אפשרות לראות את השותפים לנסיעה. נקודת מפגש של מסלולים. זמן הגעה של כל אחד ליעד. או תכנון מראש של זמן הגעה לכולם

5. Maybe don’t threaten to block people are posting hazards on the road when there’s hazards on the road.

   There are literally hundreds of massive, car swallowing potholes in northeastern Pennsylvania and I started alerting people about them on the map and waze says it’s going to block me. Good job Waze!

   Olá, WAZE, meu nome é fernando monteiro, e moro na zona portuaria do RJ, no Bairro Santo Cristo - Morro do Pinto. Nós, moradores do bairro, pedimos em carater de URGÊNCIA, que seja modificado o trajeto de entrada de saída da Comunidade, pois a ROTA informada pelo aplicativo está danificando ruas e trazendo muitos transtornos para os moradores. A rota do APP deve ser aprimorada para informar a "entrada" pela Rua Sara e "saída" pela rua João Cardoso, que dará acesso a Rodoviária e demais linhas expressas. PEÇO URGENTEMENTE SOLUÇÃO. A disposição p maiores esclarecimentos.

8. A number of suggestions after using waze for about 6 years

   • reduce the number of interactions with the driver. Stop it with the social-media-like requests. You're distracting the driver.

   • put a big "Back to the main map" button in all of the menus. I've been using Waze for over years and it's still confusing and frustrating to go back to the map or exit a menu, especially when driving.

   • for the vignette system! - Inform the driver that if they don't select a certain vignette, their routes will not be selected on that type of road. (Highways that require X vignette were not included in the planning of your route. Do you have that vignette?). This caused me to drive around highways a few times because Even though I had the vignette, i didn't input this in waze. (I ended up selecting all the road taxes in the list, to make sure this doesn't happen again, which made this feature useless)

   • don't ask for input in major intersections or on highway exits / entrances.
     (about traffic, police and other situational input)

10. שיהיה קל יותר לסמן רכב בצד הכביש

    היום כשיש רכב בצד הדרך צריך ללחוץ על מספר פרמטרים ועד שמגיעים לסימון של רכב בצד הכביש כבר לא נמצאים במקום, לדעתי צריך לחצן אחד זמין של רכב בצד הכביש כי יש הרבה רכבים כאלה לאורך הדרך והיה יותר קל לסמן אותם, זה חשוב כי באמת עוזר ויכול למנוע תאונה, פשוט צריך לדעתי לשפר את זה, אם יש פקק- קל לסמן, אבל ברכב בצד הדרך קשה לסמן תוך כדי נהיגה כשיש מספר פרמטרים לבחור בתוך האפליקציה.
    דבר נוסף,אם אפשר לעדכן את תחנות התדלוק בגז, אני בחיפה ומראה לי תחנות 98 קמ מימני או 46 קמ מימני במקום להראות לי תחנות גז שקיימות בחיפה, האפליקציה ממש לא מעודכנת בנושא והיה עוזר מאוד אם כן היה אפשר להשתמש דרך וויז כדי להגיע לתחנה קרובה. תודה רבה

14. פגם לוגי בתוכנת וייז

    אם טעית במסלול או עברת את היעד בדרך משנית או כפרית, האפליקציה תנווט אותך עד למקום בו תוכל להסתובב או לחזור, גם אם הוא מרוחק עשרות ק"מ. אתה לא שם לב וזה יכול לעלות לך בשעה נסיעה. בפועל כל מה שאתה צריך זה למצוא שוליים רחבים או חצר בית, לעצור רגע ולחזור בכביש ממנו הגעת. קורה גם בכבישי עפר בארץ וקורה המון בכבישים צדדיים בחו"ל.

15. Allow reporting of gas prices along recent trips

    It would be nice to be able to update gas prices that are close to a recent route, not just for stations that are within 0.3mi of your location.

17. Allow other Wazers to see the icon you have your car set as

    I recently downloaded Waze and I absolutely love the app. There are so many customizable features that I can really make it my own. However, I was sorely disappointed when I realized that other Wazers cannot see that I’ve selected a helicopter as my personal car’s icon. While driving on the road, I had really hoped this would be the case, and have laughed many times at the prospect of other Wazers seeing a helicopter icon approaching them while I’m driving. Though I love the little emoticons, please allow a feature where we can see each other’s GPS icons!

18. Give reason for suggested route change.

    1. Have tone or spoken message that there is a suggested route change to draw your attention to something on the screen.
    2. Have the message stay on screen until acknowledged.
    3. Have default to stay on selected route, if reason is just quicker by a few minutes or shorter.
    4. Only change route IF traffic is blocked or significant delay due to accident or some other non normal event.

19. Midpoint

    It’s called midpoint. You put in your starting location and the other persons starting location. You then search for a place you wanna meet up, and it calculates where the middle ground is (you can also make it someone drives more than another if you want). Put in the time you wanna meet up, it tells you when to go. When you start the drive, you can alert the other person you are on the way, and the other person can respond w the same. You can see both cars on the overview, send a notification if you are gonna be there early/ahead of schedule or delayed in traffic/behind schedule.

    Após aceitar caronas no Waze, o percurso até o local pra pegar o Solicitante simplesmente não carrega e na única vez que carregou, o App cancelou a solicitação no meio do caminho, fazendo que eu perdesse tempo e quem solicitou achasse que mudei de ideia.
