Service Plaza’s
Show service plaza’s on the map. Primarily in states like PA that have limited access interstates / toll roads. It would be helpful to be able to ‘tag’ them to KwHG-8579-bADm determine driving time / distance (especially when your wife needs to *** just after you have passed a service plaza)

Subdue/Mute background sounds or not mute
Add the new check box in the voice settings area (to choose by the user)– Subdue/Mute background sounds (mutes background sounds while playing a message). It refers to the Android auto. If you turn off this parameter the background sounds (radio, spotify, vlc, etc.) shouldn’t be mute during the messages playing, what is a very desirable option in general. Something similar like in the case of Yanosik navigation program.

CarPlay Waze mode
Waze in my CarPlay switches from day to night mode according the car lights (for example in tunnels or under the bridge) despite fact that application is set for switching during night only.

Travelling across a country
When traveling from one part of a country to another part, and the quickest way is travelling through a second country, this option should enabled in the routes.
For example, going through the Republic of Ireland to the North West, it might be quicker to go through Northern Ireland (another country) before coming back into the Republic of Ireland.

Sightseeing Mode
The idea is to have a SIGHTSEEING MODE , that you can choose when your using navigation. As you are driving / walking / biking etc. through a area this mode will tell you out load any interesting points about the area you are passing .
For instance we just did a family road trip through Iceland . We would have loved for navigation to talk to us as we pass cool places , Like "To your right a glacier called ... it is 700 miles long and in 1984 it melted and flooded this entire are etc.

On reporting an accident like car crashes, can a tickbox be created where the amount of vehicles involved can be indicated please?
Then the intensity and severeness of accident be established so to know if an alternative route should be taken or not??

show public transportation routes
We're in a climate crisis and everybody should drive less when there are alternatives available.
Waze should help with that by suggesting Public Transportation or bicycle routes when selecting a destination, when those routes are viable alternatives (don't bother showing a 3h bus route for a 10 min drive).
This could be similar to Google Maps and use the same data.
Just by showing that there are alternatives, the user might be tempted to try them.
This might be specially useful when driving in cities that have car restrictions, dedicated bus lanes or good bicycle infrastructure that rivals congestion, where…9 votes -

There should be an option to report privately operated mobile speed vans. The only option we have is reporting police.

Alerts
Hi the alert's "is it there or not there" should stay on after the alert for a short time so we can answer the question. Its often to hard to respond before because you are busy dealing with the problem or you simply cant see the alerted issue until you are very close.
