North = Up!

PLEASE, for the Love of God, give us a preference that will keep North pointing UP on the device! i practically can't use Waze (tho i REALLY want to) because it keep spinning around on me - drives me crazy - i grew up with paper maps & north was always "up" - having it spin to the direction i'm driving is driving me bonkers! :-)
aside from that, the app rocks!

    Why did North Up disappear? This is no longer available in the Settings menu. Waze has become very frustrating to use with this option gone. You cannot navigate with the map orientation constantly flipping. I will have to find another navigation tool if this does not reappear.

    Bring back North up. Makes no sense when trying to figure out where I'm going

    I prefer North up. The option in the settings seems to have disappeared. There is a button where it can be set for each session, but that button is not shown when used via Android Auto. Drives me nuts! I have reluctantly switched to Google Maps until this is fixed.

    Completely agree! People that use maps need north up as a reference for where they are and where they might want to go. Removing this feature is ridiculous and makes no sense. I will stop using Waze once I get too annoyed with constantly tapping the north arrow during my drive (which is distracting).

    +1 from me. I really can't use Waze at all without this setting. The constant rotation is too distracting.

    I can't understand how you decide to remove 'lock north up' from settings when so many people use it and it's clearly a fundamental feature of any serious navigation app.

    Totally agree!!! Removing it was the worst thing that happened to waze!!! App suddenly changing map orientation while driving!!! Not just irritating but can actually cause you to take wrong turn and end up losing a lot of time!!!

    Just to reiterate that 'lock north up' absolutely needs to come back. Just put it in place of the 'auto' option that doesn't appear to do anything( I thought it might do 3D then switch to 2D at junctions or interchanges).

    BRING BACK NORTH LOCK-UP. Without it I might hurl. Who thought that wasn't important? Does anyone with UI/UX credentials review this ap?

    Latest update on Aug 14,2018 removed Lock North Up.
    I HATE that. Bring it back.
