Voices preview and favorites
I've noticed a few things that could be improved: 1. why not preview the voice directions before we choose one.
2. instead of scrolling through the voices all the time why not have a favorite option to add which ones you like and change between them easier.5 votes -

With everything thats going on and how hard this is on all families. Illegal or not i suggest adding something that says ICE reported for immigration custom enforcement like you have one that says police reported ahead. This would help many families be aware.

Utilisateur depuis vos débuts en France, je vous félicite — j’utilise Waze tous les jours dans mon activité d’artisan. Suggestion : ajoutez un profil « utilitaire » (hauteur, longueur, poids) et la possibilité de basculer entre plusieurs véhicules. Aujourd’hui, Waze ne distingue que Privé / Taxi / Moto et ne prend pas en compte les restrictions de gabarit. Il y a peu, je me suis retrouvé face à un tunnel limité à 2 m alors que mon véhicule fait 2,40 m : obligé de faire demi-tour, ce qui a considérablement rallongé mon trajet. Average Speed Cameras - NZ
New Zealand NZTA is introducing Average Speed Cameras which will detect your average speed over a long distance.
Can we implement a feature that will not only show you the start and finish point of the speed trap, but also your average speed whilst you’re within it to ensure you aren’t fined.

Stop auto re-routing to save nominal time.
Perhaps the greatest problem with Waze is when the inconvenience of taking a nonstandard route is not proportional to the time savings the new route provides. All too often I’m taken on an insane route in comparison to the normal one just to save two minutes.
I would like to prevent Waze from automatically rerouting (or suggesting an alternative “best route”) unless the new route saves 10 minutes of the total “mainstream” route time.
Perhaps people could choose different thresholds for reroutes.

Better head-up-display directions at roundabout
The head-up-display shows directions through waze in my VW ID.7. At roundabouts it shows an arrow, instead of (part of) a roundabout with which exit to take.

satellite roads
I do understand the possible changes behind the scenes of the app but i honestly believe satellite roads is safer and more efficient for drivers as it provides a clearer view of the roads being driven on and not confusing drivers as it is confusing with cartoonish roads that nearly blend in together making it hard to understand which roads to take especially on highways. I have personally experienced not only myself but also seen other users of Waze experience missing exits and nearly and actually getting on to wrong exits because of the confusing “cartoonish” Waze maps. Give us the option to keep depereciated icons\voices
Please can you stop taking away the icons and voice that we like and just ask us if we want to pay something and just keep them, it costs you nothing once you've licensed the product\voice and I for one miss T-Pain but taking away my Ecto-1 is just a low blow Waze and I don't like that you're doing it without even giving us the option to keep it. you've made my Waze just that little bit worse today......

Road restrictions
Entering this idea as the previous "Road width restrictions" idea is closed for votes as implemented, even though it is not. Probably why its been omitted for several years.
Have waze allow map editors to include road restrictions, including width, height, weight, vehicle type, time based and temporary.
Allow users to include vehicle specifics in their route options.
The existing implementation uses the vehicle registration, but that only works in some countries and not the UK which has a lot of such restrictions.
Other routing apps have these features.

• Please update maps and speed limit data more frequently, especially in Australia where road rules and limits are often updated.

New report “Animal Help”
Hello Waze team,
I have an idea for a new type of community report that could help save animals and engage your users in a meaningful way.
The idea: allow users to mark the location of a stray animal on the map with a specific icon (e.g., a paw). Additional status stickers could indicate if the animal has food, water, or if it is in poor health. This would help local animal lovers and rescue organizations respond faster, while strengthening the Waze community spirit.

Waze sleeping mode shortcut for ios shortcuts
Could you please add settings in the waze to stop using GPS on the background or ios shortcut for sleeping mode?
I am using apple shortcut to start waze when I connect my phone to the bluetooth headset in my car. I am using navigation everytime I enter my car and looking for any way how to close waze, or stop location services - sleeping mode or any other solution to stop draining my battery. Rutas Vehículos Eléctricos
Actualmente no planifica rutas para vehículos eléctricos como lo puede hacer ABRP. Ni siquiera te deja seleccionar vehículo eléctrico ya que solo deja elegir carburantes.
Estaría muy bien y sería una app casi completa si se incluyera un sistema de cálculo y rutas para vehículos eléctricos en donde la ruta se planifique con sus correspondientes puntos de recarga.

Full visual lane guidance (like TomTom or Sygic)
Hello,
I would like to suggest adding full visual lane guidance to Waze, similar to what TomTom or Sygic offer.This means showing all lanes clearly on the screen, with the correct lane highlighted using arrows or lines, not just a small icon or short instruction.
The current Direction card with a lane icon is helpful, but not enough, especially when driving on highways or in complex intersections.
A visual guide across the screen would make navigation safer and easier to follow – especially for less experienced drivers or tourists.
Please consider adding this feature in future updates.
