Include traffic signal count on route summary.
For “short” routes or re-routes, include count of traffic signals. During peak periods, a longer route may be preferable with less signals, which have the potential for delay if even no delay exists at the time of route calculation. The definition of short is arbitrary and could be decided by the devs based on utility vs performance.

Feature Suggestion: “Group Ride / Buddy Mode” for Safer and More Connected Travel
To the Waze Team,
Good day! I am a longtime Waze user, and I truly appreciate how your app continues to innovate in keeping drivers safe and informed. I would like to suggest a new feature that I believe would greatly improve the experience of many users, especially those who travel together.
I would like to propose a “Group Ride Mode” or “Buddy Mode” where users traveling as a group such as friends, families, and motorcycle convoys can see each other in real time directly on the Waze map. Many riders and drivers often travel together, and having this integrated…

For the Love of Waze: A Real Driver's Plea to Stop the Trolls
I'm writing to you as someone who truly loves what Waze is supposed to be: a community of drivers helping each other out. But that spirit is dying, and it's because you're letting a handful of trolls ruin it for everyone else.
We've all seen it: phantom police cars that vanish into thin air, imaginary traffic jams on empty roads, and the completely absurd "icy road" warnings during a summer heatwave. It’s gone from being a funny quirk to a serious problem. It’s not just annoying anymore; it’s making us lose trust in the app we once relied on.
We,…

Send an alert as soon as an accident occurs on the route so driver can consider another before Waze suggests one
Send an alert as soon as an accident occurs on the current route so driver can immediately consider another. It takes Waze a while to suggest a new one as it waits for traffic to build up while a driver will know that is likely to happen and can pick another route before it is too late.

Zoom
Whenever I click the find alternative routes button. It constantly zooms me out every single time. This is so annoying I have to constantly click the plus button. Every time that I want to check if there’s a different route thats quicker.

Add favorites to a route
When I go on long trips, I enjoy stopping at rest areas, but I have no clue where they are or when they'll appear. I've ended up at a sketchy gas station, only to discover a rest area just 2 miles ahead. I also like pulling over at specific restaurant chains, but again, I don't know their locations. It would be awesome to add favorites to a route so the app tracks the distance to the nearest Chick-fil-A or Buc-ee's, then resets after you pass it to show the next one. This feature would be a game-changer.

Individual Volume Settings
Please implement a dedicated sound/volume setting allowing for volume to be increased to as loud or as low as wanted. Some vehicles and devices are having issues selecting louder volume for Waze, especially when using other infotainment features like Bluetooth music or CarPlay.

Hi team you guys doing great job. Is there any chance you separate the speedometer and speed limit option
I believe most of the users don't want speedometer sometimes we miss the speed limit sign so it's better to have just speed limit option separate3 votes -
auto reroute
Hi Ella and colleagues, I have a waze suggestion. Please ask the Waze engineer to please add an option in the Settings of the App for the end-user: please let me explain first. Waze no longer is asking for re-routing permission - Waze now just dynamically (automatically) re-routes now in the middle of navigating. And I understand why, this is because to minimize distraction. Please ask the Waze developer-engineer to please add an option inside the SETTINGS of the APP to allow the end-user to either: ALLOW automatic (dynamic) re-routing or ALERT user prior to dynamic (automatic) re-routing or to…

“See your friends on the road — drive together, even when apart.”
Idea:
Add a new feature in Waze that lets users add friends and see each other’s live location directly on the Waze map — similar to Snapchat’s Snap Map or a GTA V online lobby.
How it works:
Users can add friends through usernames, phone numbers, or QR codes.
Once connected, you can see your friends’ cars moving live on the map while they’re driving with Waze.
You can tap a friend’s icon to get ETA to their location or message them (“on my way”, “meet here”, etc.).
Privacy controls let users choose who can see them (e.g. “Visible to…3 votes -
motorcycle display preferences for carplay
I have 5" carplay units on both of my motorcycles. (no this is not a display size issue). My preferred map software in carplay, is Waze, as I want the most crowdsourced information such as cops, traffic, construction, etc. My only problem on the motorcycle with carplay/Waze display is that the map is way too FINE and small print, the speed is too small, and red/black which are fairly impossible to read as they're both dark colors.
My ask, and idea, and suggestion... either basically control over the display SIZE to make the fonts and boldness of the roads and…
