1. Bug in Waze + Android auto

   There is a bug in the Waze when using the Android auto app. When I use Waze and switch to another app, then switch back to Waze, the top that indicates the next turn is not visible anymore. To get it back, I need to restart Android auto.

2. One click navigation to Saved places after starting waze

   You start waze everyday and you everyday pick one of 5 routes.
   But you need 3-4 clicks to do so and after every step, you have to do 3-4 quick decision and reading. It takes you attention to waaay too long.

   Imagine new optional One click home screen:

   • no map on home page (but yes, there are button to show map)
   • precalculated routes to all of your saved places IS there
   • all routes with 3 best variants, your preffered way is highlighted and Allways Shown, major issues highlighted

   How it should be - sorry for not uploading picture:

   1) WORK (see road details)
   road 1 - 17 min. (through Main st.) (light traffic logo) - GO in 3, 2, 1..
   road 2 - 27 min. (through highway) (*preffered) (accident) - GO
   road 3 - 35 min. (through Jefferson st.) (hard traffic logo) - GO

   2) HOME - turned off - because you are at home and waze know it. (with option to turn it on if its just GPS issue)

   3) Grandma house (see road details)
   road 1 - 37 min. (through Lincoln av.) (*preffered)- GO
   road 2 - 41 min. (through highway) - GO
   road 3 - 55 min. (through Jefferson st.) (police logo) - GO

   4) GF house (see details)
   road 1 - 10 min. (through Lincoln av.) (*preffered) (police) - GO
   road 2 - 15 min. (through highway) (light traffic) - GO
   road 3 - 25 min. (through Jefferson st.) - GO

   pros:
   ZERO click to got big picture

   ONE click start to daily routes or even monthly routes

   you can start it even if car, if you see accident or traffic. you have better info RIGHT NOW without a single click or scrolling on map, so you acn do it while driving in a second without toutching - MUCH safer

   if ux ++ then much more users will come

   cons:

   waze will have to do very quick road calculations (which can be slower). but there should be Loading bar under every location in this case and you should click on your favourite location to load that first.
   maybe there should be an condition - no load in 3 seconds -> show just map, or this load bar will just be over the map in packed version, so you will see the map and after every route is calculated, it gets bigger.

   everyone sees your saved places or favourite ways. but if you dont save places like girlfriend 1 and girlfriend 2, you are supersafe :-)

   if your telephone is stolen, someone will see your adresses, but it can be seen even if they are just saved.

3. CarPlay car audio Navigation volume test addition

   I have noticed in two cars (my 2019 Nissan and a 2019 Subaru) that with CarPlay the "Navigation" volume can only be adjusted when the Waze app is actually "saying" something.
   It is possible to stimulate a voice response (change to an alternate route and hit "go" or use the microphone to enter a nonsense command).
   The addition of a "test navigation sound" to the "sound options" menu in Waze would be a more helpful and direct method to adjust the car's entertainment system "navigation" volume. Waze could just babble about something and show a tool tip "adjust car audio volume now" for 20 seconds or until the user exits the test.

4. Swap the remaining time and distance on the bottom of the display (or make remaining time optional)

   I drive an electric car, so remaining distance is important for me, but when I use waze in split screen mode, only the remaining time is visible.
   It would be nice if I wouldn't need to enlarge the screen when I want to see the distance to destination.

5. Node Types - Multi use and meaningful for routes (Traffic Lights, Lane Guidance, etc)

   An intersection always has a node, this node could become much more meaningful than simple turns and could significantly enhance the functionality of Waze (albeit with a significant development penalty).

   By adding some logic to nodes you will be able to introduce some logic that will significantly enhance the ability for the routing engine to calculate superior routes when taking in things like traffic light penalties and other metrics.

   1) You can collect timing metrics for intersections much more efficiently, and potentially learn intersection timing and other factors which will help produce much more accurate route timings without depending on segment traversal metrics (which in has many drawbacks, including underutilisation not populating metrics for meaningful calculations) it could become a cumulative metric for "hour of day" leading to a permanent figure affecting routing evaluation.

   2) By adding a widget in the editor for "in/out lanes, including directions" to the node, you can build lane guidance at the node level for routing and direction purposes. Admittedly it would lead to some level of complexity, and ideally a L3 and above editor would only be able to configure this one with training.

   3) Default penalty of 30 seconds could be applied to any intersection with a traffic light which would lead to meaningful routing choices without any cumulative data. Many routes are much faster by avoiding long drives with many traffic lights, even if those roads have more meaningful segment data than others.

   I personally don't use many of the Waze routes in my city as I know the area well enough and which side streets to use that avoid traffic lights at each time of day, and my choices are based almost exclusively due to traffic light delays (often leading to significant time savings depending on the length of journey). Introducing this same choice into the routing engine may very well lead to a market leading engine that is significantly different from all the rest, and the only way it can be implemented is through user editing like Waze.

6. Compromise between "All Sound on" and "Alerts only"

   We actually have 3 levels of "sound alerts" : All Sound on, Alerts only and Sound off.
   Personnaly and as many road travelers, i prefer the Alerts only option.
   But, when you are on a road for a long time (highway) and have a navigation change incoming, it could be very usefull to just have a little sound witch remind it to you.
   It could be a good compromise between "All Sound on" and "Alerts only".

8. coronavirus icons

   Why not announce worldwide the following two upgrades to your app to help fight the pandemic:

   1) Add icons to flag coronavirus status:
   Healthy, contacted someone with symptoms,
   , i have symptoms, confirmed, passed the disease and im healthy again.

   2) Allow for newbies to use these icons from the start.

10. La APP siempre aparece aunque no la este usando y me impide usar el teléfono

    Quisiera la opción de elegir el camino más corto y no el más rapido ya que muchas veces por ahorrar 1 minuto, me hace hacer 10 km más.

11. Live Traffic Color Codes Disappear!

    When looking at the live map for the traffic color codes for slow traffic, when I zoom out to look 20-50 miles ahead, THE COLORS DISAPPEAR!! Why?? Frustrating. I have to switch over to Google maps to see traffic colors to see if there any any traffic jams ahead. It would be nice if I could just stay on the Waze app to hear the alerts and not have to switch back and forth.

12. Add the voice of Mimiyuuuh in Canada

    Hi, I live in Canada. I think 90% of Filipinos love this app. I have a suggestion that please add the Filipino-Mimiyuuuh voice to entertain the Filipinos, especially when they are driving or commuting in Canada.

13. App needs a button to make a waypoint where you are.

    App needs a button to make a way-point where you are. I do rural construction. I have to meet the crew at a gas station they follow them to the job-site.
    Once there I need a way to make a waypoint so I can find my way back tomorrow or next week. I don't know the address or even know where I am. No way to look it up or find a address close by I could use to get back tomorrow or next week. So I have to meet at the gas station again and follow them back to the site again.

14. Re-arranging the waze application display for "landscape" screens

    On a 7" car display, which is a "landscape" display, the Waze application displays the "Next turn" box, including the turn description, on about a quarter of the screen, sometimes even larger. The Result is that the on-coming road map is covered by the box, and the "turn area" shows only at the last minute. For such a "landscape" display the screen display should be re-arranged so that the important part of the on-coming map shall not be hidden until the very last minute, similar to the standard "portrait" telephone display.

    Credo sia il momento di sviluppare l’app per il Wach. L’app dovrebbe poter funzionare in autonomia ma sarebbe anche interessante farla funzionare in contemporanea su iPhone e su Wach. Esempio mentre è in esecuzione su iPhone sul Wach mostra le informazioni semplificate

16. Need a feature to shift lanes on multi lane divided hwy such as the 401. (core/collector shift)

    Need a button to allow Waze to re-pinpoint your location if you ignore where it wants you shift from core to collectors if you miss it or decide to ignore it I would like to be able to bump myself into the correct lane, right now the only way to fix it is to close waze and then re-open and it will pick up that your not in the parallel Lanes.

    ישנן אפליקציות רבות אשר הופכות את הסמרטפון שלנו למצלמת דרך. רק שבניגוד לאנדרויד בו ניתן להפעיל מצלמה ברקע ואז לעבור לכל אפליקציה אחרת והמצלמה תמשיך להקליט, באייפונים הצילום לא יכול להתבצע ברקע. כלומר, אם הפעלת אפליקציית מצלמת דרך, היא זו שצריכה להיות בפרונט של המסך. עברת לאפליקציה אחרת, הצילום נפסק.
    עלה לי הרעיון של שילוב אפשרות מצלמת הדרך בתוך אפליקציית וואייז. כלומר, הפעלת האופציה מתוך וואייז. כך אפשר יהיה גם לצלם את הדרך וגם להשתמש בוואייז, ואייפון יאפשר זאת כי הצילום לכאורה לא ברקע אלא בתוך האפליקציה האקטיבית כרגע. אפשר אפילו להראות מסך קטן של צילום בוואייז, ובנגיעה בו המסך יגדל ויאפשר לראות מה נכנס לפריים. נגיעה נוספת מקטינה אותו שוב וממשיכים להשתמש בוואייז כרגיל.
