I don't like the new waze. Can't stop navigation after it starts.
I don't like the NEW Waze. Can't stop navigation once it starts unless I close the app completely. Make it bigger on the iphone so I can leave my phone on the dash while driving.

Hi,
I love the app use it almost every day!
I have several ideas to improve the Waze app.
• Bring back the police and on road icons, this enables us to see relative distance to reporting
• Allow mobile and directional reporting of police
• Allow inside or outside lane reporting of hazards
• Post reports of police both directions as we have officers who wait in median
• Allow directions to closest officer for emergency use.
• Allow return to normal speed after clearing of congested roadways
• Update routes when roads become congested (immediately without searching alternate…5 votes -
Waze update poorly displays street labels, even zoomed!
HELP! Waze update does not display street labels well in SF. Zooming in doesn't help. Now we must scroll far to the right or left to hunt for street name! Please fix!

Weigh vehicle position to show more of road ahead.
Weigh vehicle position towards back of map to show more of the route yet to travel rather than center of map when in a north-up mode. Currently the cursor is in the center of the map showing much of the route you have traveled. This would make better use of the small screen to show what's ahead.

Bisa edit rute favorit
I have many ideas but my english is poor so i described by my own language.
- Bisa edit rute tambahan selain rute yg sudah ada dan diinput manual dengan mengemudi ( ada tombol start dan end ) Setelah diedit bisa disave dan bisa menjadi pilihan untuk rute yg sudah ada dan rute favorit bisa dihighlight
- Tambahkan menu edit di pilihan navigasi dan favorit dan pratinjau
- Adakan icon baru untuk pemberi masukan dan icon baru untuk yg sudah dikerjakan idenya (icon khusus)
- Adakan chat khusus bagi wazer yg sudah menjadi teman dan bisa chat head to head and real time

Phone Address book
I have an iPhone 6s and somehow cannot connect my phone address book onto the navigate to anymore. My iPhone 6 and iPhone 5s had no problem finding and connecting to address book but my iPhone 6s can not connect to the phone address book. Can you help?

next service station - distance/time
On a long drive it'd be handy to be able to see:-
"Service station 1 - 3miles/5mins"

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Currently Not Planned, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.

map rotation
I noticed, when you make a turn, the map does not rotate with the turn, can this be fixed in the next update?

Different phrases for the same message.
Waze should have multiple phrases for the same message. For instance, when C3PO is saying turn left master. It could say turn left with a different voice. This way the voice app wont get annoyingly repetitive to listen to.
Also, another idea would be to have different voices for different speeds, when you are going above 50 miles per hour, it could be an X-wing voice.
HILARIOUS idea: have a useless and unintelligible directions reader like: R2D2 beeps, and chewbacca yells.

use past traffic statistics when calculating routes
waze could save statistics about average time it takes to pass each street at different times of the day (but only on work days - not vacations or weekends where traffic patterns are different). this past statistics can be valuable when routing - today, waze could lead me through areas that are more congestion prone since at the moment these areas are quite vacant. using past statistics when routing would show that by the time I'll get to these areas, there'll probably be a congestion so other paths might be better.

PREVIEW my frequent route and give me an overview
Let me store common routes (commutes, etc), then when I'm ready to leave for work or leave work for home, Waze would 'preview' my route and automatically send me a txt or email with an overview....i,e., "traffic heavy on I-275, suggest US-23 instead" or "high police activity on I-94, suggest M-22 instead"... it could even be time based where it would automatically send if it's a normal commute day so I know if I have to leave earlier to make it in time.

When traveling long straight
When traveling long straight the system does not 'tell' anything and that can cause the user to think there is a technical malfunction in the system or communication. It is better that every few minutes or miles the system will say: "I am here" or "Continue straight" etc.

give the possibility to create unofficial voice, which will be implemented if several criterion defined beforehand are acquired.

click on the list of directions and be taken to the map
There are many occasion in which I use Waze to find routes to places I don't know. Also, there are occasions in whch waze suggests alterrnative routes to escape traffic.
There are many times that Waze directs me to streets and places that I have never been through. When I look at the complete list of directions, many times the list contains street names that are actually completely meaningless to me, as I just don't know them. It would be nice if a a feature could be added that allows me to click on a particular item of the list…2 votes -

Automatic speed adjustment
I made a patent for an interface between the waze and the vehicle in order to adjust the speed according to the speed limit on public roads , thus enabling a more secure , peaceful direction and within the traffic rules , minimizing risk of fines for speeding, car accidents and contribute to a better fluidity of the road . This device can be enabled or disabled at the discretion of the driver or the possible and future traffic laws.
