Volyme/sound reset
It's kind of annoying that the Alerts/sound levels reset after each upgrade/new version.

Report directions
Waze reports are currently often jumbled up and it becomes very difficult to determine which ones are relevant.
It will be great if the Waze icons could be located according to one's direction of travel.
For example all the eastbound icons could be below the road at all the westbound icons could be above the road.

Driving assistant is poor
Improving the driving assistant like googlemap assistant or, even better, like Plan (which is base on tomtom in France)

You should add a "Shade Tree" feature that directs you to the nearest trees you can park under for a lunchtime nap. People could add trees,

Group Search area should be user defined.
We try to communicate as group about travel in a remote country in Africa. The Group is created in local country. People traveling to and in the remote country can not join the group or participate.
Group distance should be user defined.

suggest removing hazard on side of road as this has no impact on traffic but people slow down because this is reported
hazards on road is good to report but if it is to the side of road, I see not point in this helping and in fact people will slow down for any hazard so this actually slows down traffic

Notification of great views, etc.
I would love the capability to notify other users about great views, cool roadside views, etc. to make road trips even more interesting.

Turn traffic, ability to report and to use in navigation
There must be an option to report traffic for a specific turn. The reason is that a given road may be moving well through an intersection, but specifically a left turn lane onto an intersecting road can be jammed. In such a case the navigator won't use that road to turn left and find another route.
As an example. Let's say I am driving on Main St and there are 3 intersecting roads coming up, Street 1, Street 2, and Street 3. My destination is at Street 2, where I need to turn left from Main St. Waze doesn't know…

Need for Brazilian app: new category for segment (viela) like (dirt roads)
In Brazil government allow traffic in "viela", first "viela" is a drivable road normally between houses. At the moment this segment is categorized/translated as "pedestrian broad walk".
I suggest that that a new type of segment is created "viela" for Brazilian app and Waze editor, since it doesn't share the same restrictions as "pedestrian broad walk".
I also suggest the creation of a button like the existing "dirt road" since some drivers don't like to use "viela" to move arround.

Use road posted speed limits plus user speeds for in route algorythim
This will help find a better route based on posted speed. Also if we could calculate average speed of wayze users in a route area to help adjust for traffic. as in this road has a posting of 50 MPH but average user speed is 25 this equals bad traffic and should re-route to a road that is 35MP with little to no traffic. to set aside from others who do this allow a setting to limite the number of in route routing adjustments. Some may become overwhelmed with to many re-directions on the fly.

I did a few searches and didn't see this posted so here it goes...
Some things are better in pairs. Using Waze with two people, especially on road trips, is a great way to maximize reporting and verification of reports. Unfortunately, the points only go to one Waze account and there's no way for both the driver and copilot to engage their social networks from one device. Adding a copilot feature would help with this scenario. Icons on map could have a copilot designation and both Wazers would be considered online - maybe only the primary account could tie into…

Make selected item more clear in iPhone app
When selecting a report type the option selected only slightly changes in color/shade. My phone is mounted to the dash and in daylight I often cannot tell if I have selected an item. Make the shading or color change more dramatic for the selected item e.g. On Road & Construction. I have pressed the button a second time which deselects and this is also a problem

Default text/email contact
95% of my journeys that need someone to know when I'll arrive are me commuting from work. It would be great to have a 'speed dial' feature on the map screen to reduce the clicks to tell the missus when I'll be home.
