  4. Improve basic Android Auto functionality for adding stops and liking pre-existing reports

    Waze on Android auto is a solid start, but it's missing some critical functionality.

    1) Adding Stops: I recently tried to search for gas stations along the way while on a trip. Waze showed me gas stations where I've already been. Not great.

    2) Liking Other Reports: Waze will give you a pop-up on the bottom left of your screen on Android auto when there's a report that needs your input. E.g. a stopped car, a speed trap, etc. however, if you try to click the icon of a pre-existing report from another user on the map so you can…

  5. Option to Hide the Recent list and hide work/home card

    Please give an option to hide the Home/Work card and the list of recent addresses. This is very annoying as it consumes most of the screen. I know it goes away after a certain time but it gets kinda old and it's not very useful. It's redundant information and clutter. I know where I work and I know where I live. Just give us the options to hide those two items on startup, and not force users into using something that they don't need. Looking at you Google. 🙄.

  8. Show turn notifications on phone even when Waze is active in Android Auto

    When using Waze via Android Auto I receive helpful turn notifications (e.g. “Turn left in 200 meters”) as notifications on my smartphone only when Waze is minimized (e.g. while Spotify is in focus).
    Howeve when Waze is active on the car screen these notifications do not appear on the phone.

    It would be very useful if those notifications could appear on the phone at all times via an option, i would find this very usefull

    Problem: When using Waze through Android Auto, roundabouts show incorrect navigation symbols in the car’s HUD and media widget. This does not happen in Google Maps.

    The main screen shows correct instructions, but the HUD and widget display incorrect icons — often showing wrong turn direction or exit.

    Please verify if the Android Auto metadata (like NavigationTemplate or TripInfo) is being sent correctly by Waze for HUD integration.

  16. Android Auto improvements - Ease of typing in locations via screen or phone, updating road conditions, etc.

    Typing in Locations on the screen of the car (11.6 inch) is cumbersome, and sometimes it switches to the phone then says to type in the car's screen again. Why don't you just allow to use the phone all the time to type?

    Providing road updates needs to be better, the small little bubble on the lower right corner is hard to press, maybe a voice activated function would help or place it on the left side and make it bigger?

    Screen directions become smaller when a prompt pops up requesting a road incident update. This should not be prioritized…

    I would like you to contact me regarding an article I am considering writing to propose that we as they do in China have lights that show count downs for all light changes. This results in traffic calming, less frustration, fewer accidents, loss of life, and lower insurance rates. It also integrates with their driving apps, similar to Waze/Google.
