Option to disable drive now popup on startup
Please add option to disable drive now popup window on every startup on android auto. Very annoying to have to tap x on screen everytime I start my car.

Drive now should be optional
The 'drive now' banner that appears after the new update is very disruptive on android auto. It is not needed. Should be optional as the banner blocks the map behind. To try and then disable it, is difficult and time consuming while driving and could be dangerous. Can it be made optional i.e. only make it appear if a setting is switched on or only bring it up when required. The design assumption that has been made is probably down to assuming that everything is touch screen. Some old android auto systems are being controlled through buttons and wheels. Please…

Please get the driver display working for AAOS
Im sure everyone noticed this right away that waze is not working on the driver display, which is how these systems were designed to be used. Please get this working ASAP so i can stop using Google maps.

It would be nice to be able to use the mobile app while connected to android auto. Why?
Because, not every car support long click on their screen, at least on mine I cannot (ford focus stline 2024), and not having this action, make it impossible to select a destination using android auto without searching for that specific place, for example, sometime the only information that I have is a reference from the destination, and after I search for it, I can drag the map to find my real destination. It no longer works correctly with Android Auto
Adding addresses by voice no longer works.
There are too many buttons now that used to be under 1 button that was way easier to get to rather than dialing through this mess.
Tha map is covered by big black text balloons that don't need to be so large.
It doesn't load correctly half the time.
I literally have to disconnect my phone from the car, enter my destination, start it, then hook it back up to the Android Auto.

Add "closed road" report to Android Auto and Apple Carplay
The fact that this simple but critical feature is missing from AA and AC is completely insane. It drives me crazy every time Waze stubbornly tries to navigate me through a closed route while I have no possibility to report the route as blocked. I know that it works on the phone, but disconnecting the phone while driving is dangerous and unnecessary. Please fix!

Audio ducking (lowering volume)
Could we kindly request the option to disable audio ducking, similar to other maps? I would prefer to manage the volume myself and not have music or audio automatically muted. This happens when both audio for Waze and music/audio books are played from the car speakers. I do not have the same issue with Google Maps.

Quand est prévue la maj sur Waze pour la prise en compte des zones de dangers (radar) en versions en horizontal sur les smartphones et véhicules. J'explique. Lorsque mon smartphone est vertical, j'ai bien la barre verte mais quand il est en horizontal, ce n'est pas le cas. Beaucoup d'utilisateurs de sont plaints de ça , quand est-ce que les développeurs vont prendre en compte ces revendications ?

GPS availability recheck
When connected to Android Auto while phone's GPS is not turned on, Waze does not recognize, that GPS is turned on later and it is needed to disconnect from Android Auto and connect again. I would appreciate if Waze could somehow re-check GPS availability. Button, touch, time period...
Typical case: GPS is turned off in the phone. It is turned on automatically by the routine when phone detects car's bluetooth or wifi. When Waze starts earlier then GPS is turned on, it is impossible to use it. Thank you.2 votes -
Ability to use phone screen while Android auto is enabled
Why I can not use my phone screen when Android auto is enabled. When I drive if I want to change or add a pause on the road, I cannot. My Android screen is at the passenger side and I cannot use it.
Can you please make an update so we can safely control Waze with phone to change the direction?
Please!
Otherwise I'll have to switch to Google maps but I like Waze!

Allow user to see turn-by-turn direction list when using Waze via Android Auto.
When connected via Android Auto and using Waze there is no means to pull up the turn-by-turn directions list, even if the vehicle is parked. This forces the driver to drive "blind", not knowing what to expect between the start of the trip and the destination. In city use cases, this makes Waze via Android Auto unusable.

Blocked Road option unavailable on Android Auto.
Android Auto policy, for some reason, does not allow users of Waze to report a blocked road, although it is possible when using Waze on phone screen. As a workaround, would it be possible to introduce a change route option similar to the change route option on Garmin devices. With a Garmin Sat Nav, to avoid an obstacle, you can choose to detour by a distance of 1/2 mile, 2 miles or 5 miles, or you can choose a particular road you want to avoid. Allow user to choose which side Report choices appear on
When making a report (i.e. Hazard, Traffic, etc.), the options appear on the left side of the vehicle's infotainment screen. For those of us with right-hand drive vehicles, this means an inconvenient reach to the other side of the screen. It would be better if the user specify whether they have a left or right drive vehicle, and have the reporting choices appear on the side closest to the driver.

Android Auto - When in traffic/average speed area, add the progress bar to show how far through the traffic you are
When using Waze on mobile there is a "progress bar" to show you travelling through the congested zone/average speed zone.

EV Battery estimates for routes on Android Automotive
For electric vehicles that run on Android Automotive, allow the routes to display estimated battery levels for when you get to your destination, like Google Maps does. If you don't have enough battery power to get to your destination, Waze should suggest EV chargers along the way.
