Favourite route
I would like to be able to select the route of my choice as my favourite. Having to keep selecting it is annoying.

Multi stop daily routes
For the everyday commuters that carpool. Being able to choose "morning route" & "evening route" that includes 2 or more stops would be great

show public transportation routes
We're in a climate crisis and everybody should drive less when there are alternatives available.
Waze should help with that by suggesting Public Transportation or bicycle routes when selecting a destination, when those routes are viable alternatives (don't bother showing a 3h bus route for a 10 min drive).
This could be similar to Google Maps and use the same data.
Just by showing that there are alternatives, the user might be tempted to try them.
This might be specially useful when driving in cities that have car restrictions, dedicated bus lanes or good bicycle infrastructure that rivals congestion, where…4 votes -

Make option to avoid international borders
Drove from Boston to Michigan and the app continuously tried rerouting us through Canada to save time! Please add an option to avoid international borders so we don't have to worry about being sent through another country if traffic builds ahead.

“Obstruction Ahead” button
Need a quick way for driver to reroute when confronted by impassable conditions or traffic jams. This should be via a button available on the main screen. Thank you.

Add bus gates for Glasgow city centre to Waze as keeps taking people down the roads we ain't meant to access resulting in fines

Notification when route time meets user requirement
Select a route and receive notification when when the travel time meets user defined time. I.e. i want to go there, notify me when the travel time is less than or equal to 1 hour.

Optional Route Preview
The recent addition of a route preview that can NOT be turned off needs to be removed. I went from being able to efficiently go from place to place as a driver to having to stop and navigate my way through a maze of "here's this route over view. Here's that overview." If I want or need a new route, I'll go find one. Like I always did. At the very least, give us the option to turn that off. It's a waste of time.

Customize Your Route
There should be a way where you can customize your own route, especially if you want to take scenic routes that you might not know the directions, while having the same benefits that Waze offers (navigation, police, traffic, etc).
I was just on a drive that I took six different highways on my own before meeting up to the Waze route and I had to turn my Waze off because it kept re-routing me to the "fastest" route... If I was able to plan my route and customize it to the route I want to take, that would be awesome.…

Mark temporary the route as blocked, unavailable, reroute options
Add the option to mark the current route or road segment as unavailable or ability to calculate completely alternate route for the next couple of miles. I found myself multiple times on a suggested route that was closed due to roadwork, incident or event by the police for some reason. I tried to avoid it but waze kept on routing me back that blocking point… I usually have to drive random a lot of miles until the route changes enough so that I can be given an alternate route. WAY OVERDUE - quick easy toggle between freeway routing and surface street routing. Too many steps to compare route quickness.
frequently in a busy freeway city culture being able to toggle quickly between quickest route freeway AND quickest route surface streets - takes too many steps to toggle. Needs to be on front page map. I’ve been a Waze member from the start and shocked that this has not happened where I can input a route for freeway driving and easily switch to surface streets where the route is OFTEN quicker but system keeps me in freeway gridlock when set for freeways. Travelling across a country
When traveling from one part of a country to another part, and the quickest way is travelling through a second country, this option should enabled in the routes.
For example, going through the Republic of Ireland to the North West, it might be quicker to go through Northern Ireland (another country) before coming back into the Republic of Ireland.
