Feature Suggestion: Truck & Travel Trailer Routing Mode.
Hi Waze team! It would be incredibly helpful to add a dedicated routing option for trucks towing travel trailers. This feature could generate safe routes that account for:
- 🚫 Avoiding sharp or narrow right turns
- 🚧 Identifying height restrictions and bridge clearances
- 🛑 Bypassing roads with trailer or truck limitations
This would go a long way in improving safety and convenience for recreational drivers and towing vehicles. Thanks for considering!15 votes -

Option to Disable Auto-Rerouting After Route Is Set

I’d like to suggest a feature that allows users to disable automatic rerouting after setting a route.
As a driver, it’s not always possible (or safe) to constantly check the device to notice when Waze changes the route and tap “No thanks” in time to stay on the original path.There are countries where you must follow a specific route due to legal or financial reasons — for example, vignette zones, road restrictions, or toll obligations. Stop rerouting
Stop rerouting me. I chose the roads I wanted to go on and it kept sending me on different roads. I was out of town so of course I didn't notice it changed me. It should stay on the route I choose and never leave that unless I give permission. I want to choose my own roads and Waze just stay on them. Please and thank you

Please stop automatic (dynamic) re-routing. Waze no longer is asking for re-routing permission from the user during active navigation. Waze is now dynamically (automatically) re-routes user without askiing nor alerting the user. Please STOP automatic (dynamic) re-routing without asking user's permission. Add Pause Button to Route Guidance
I use Waze a lot for local driving and frequently take small diversions to convenience stores or maybe swing by another store or a friend's house a few blocks away that is not on the original route.
I find it very hard to believe that no one has ever added a Pause button to route guidance.
I have seen it rationalized that it would be distracting while you're driving.

1/1/26 WAZE consistently sent me to closed roads when directing me to Pisgah State Park entrance in NH.
1/1/26, using WAZE, I was consistently directed to closed and non-maintained roads when I requested driving directions to the entrance of Pisgah State Park, in NH. I am told that these roads are never open to regular vehicular traffic. This is a significant error in the program. I wasted an hour trying to find the park entrance.

Every weekday morning I drop my daughter off at school on my way to work. I set my work address in waze first and then "add a stop" and put in my daughter's school. It would be nice to have an option to set saved route with multiple stops so that I could select it each morning in one step.

Cheapest route (including the cost for my time)
Sometimes I want to take the fastest route possible, but most times I want to take the cheapest route. By cheapest route, I mean one that includes a cost for my time as well as fuel, depreciation, and tolls.

Electric car planning with chargers and battery info
I would like to use Waze like ABRP. For me Waze is the best GPS software to drive my car with. But nowadays I have an electric car and need to plan my trip with the battery level and consumption and the available electric chargers on my way. Include traffic signal count on route summary.
For “short” routes or re-routes, include count of traffic signals. During peak periods, a longer route may be preferable with less signals, which have the potential for delay if even no delay exists at the time of route calculation. The definition of short is arbitrary and could be decided by the devs based on utility vs performance.
