Traffic light free and alternate lane traverse free turning feature with extra option enabling lane traverse turnings at non-signal turns
There should be features that allow users to opt for routes that are free of traffic lights and also free of having to either make left handed turns in America and other American driving nations or free of right turns in Australia , UK and other countries with British driving system with options to enable those turnings where signals aren't present . Routes options in case of road closure, detour, or anything else
Was going to my friends house early this morning and police had the main road closed. This had just happened and wasn't going to take long enough for a detour to be put in place and I was so close to my friends house Waze gave no additional routes as options. Luckily I new the area enough to know what to do but I know things like this happen everyday across the country. It would be nice to have a feature that lets you choose a road or distance to avoid for these situations. Typically Waze gives you multiple options…

Prioritize freeways option
I drive large trucks and trailers on a regular basis, and in my CDL course we're taught to stick to state roads with a number or a letter, examples: state highway 10, county highway N. If it's got a name we probably shouldn't be on it. There's the button to avoid freeways, but I'd love the opposite as it would be a simple way to do truck/trailer/rv friendly routes.
Even in my personal car I'd prefer it as I prefer cruising over stoping/turning all the time. Also in my experience the state and county highways are usually more well maintained…

Home & Work separated settings
1st world problem here. I’d like an option that for my normal routes, like my saved “home” & “work”, to have different settings. I live in a toll infested area, when I drive to work everyday, I don’t want to take the tolls, but my other driving, I might. I’d like to be able to set up my routine drive to avoid tolls, but regular driving to have the option. I have to go in and switch the toggle back to “ON” for Tolls depending upon my drive. editing routes
I have a route, originally to a street address which I knew, to meet someone whose name I didn't know. Once I learned their name, I wanted to edit the route from the name of the small town where I was headed, to the name of the person I was meeting. I haven't found a way to do that without creating a new route. This seems like an easy modification.

Provide opportunity for users to test before you make any "improvements"
Recently an update was made in ROUTES display. It is worse than the original, and support team calls it improvement. When on "maps" it used to have color distinct separation, options were on top of the screen in smaller bubbles so you could click and see everything on one screen to select. Now first option is on the bottom in the big bubble, and you have to pull it up to see other suggested routes, which changes from map to list, so it's a lot of clicking back and forth. VERY user unfriendly. Not sure who gets these ideas and…

Report and show long term roadworks
Since I am driving thousands of kilometers a month I need a button to report long term roadworks especially for highways/autobahn. And with that it would be nice if the lenght of the roadwork is shown too - it could look the same like the time it takes to come through a traffic jam on the left side of the screen.
The first report marks the beginning of the roadwork, the second the end of it. In Germany there are signs where they write the estimated end date of the current roadwork. That could be reported too.

Bonjour, Il serait bien d'ajouter l'option "Eviter les frontières", de la même façon que l'ont peu choisir l'option éviter péage et ferrie. Moi qui habite en France proche de la Suisse par exemple, Waze me fais traverser 2 postes de douane (entrée et sortie) pour aller dans certaines villes qui sont en France de l'autre côté de la Suisse, le problème c'est qu'avec mon vieux 4x4 les frontaliers ne veulent pas que je passent car ZFE! Autodetect closures and closed roads
Waze should automatically detect closures and close roads without relying on Wazers to use the in-app closure function or on map editors to add them. Just as Waze can detect traffic and reroute, it could also detect when no one follows the directed guidance and there is zero traffic on a segment. Then when Wazer start driving on the segment again it could reopen.
Google Maps (part of Google Geo) gets closure info from Waze. And Waze (part of Google Geo) should also get closure info from Google Maps. It doesn't now, and instead will route Wazers into a closed…

Introduce a Waze for trucks and caravans
Increasingly people are relying more and more on navigation. The app provides the quickest and most direct routes which is great for normal circumstances. However, trucks, Lorrie’s, large motor homes are not taken into consideration. I live near a golf course where a small road crosses the fairways and we are seeing more and more large vehicles on a road which is totally unsuitable for them and can often get stuck. There needs to be a version which keeps trucks and towing vehicles on appropriate roadways. There are ‘caravan related sat nav’s such as Co pilot and perhaps Waze can…

Timeline and distance along route
Suggest to show timeline and distance along a planned route. This would facilitate break planning on longer travels.
Timelines would let you forecast where you might search for good places to eat or spend the night, depending on current traffic and suggested routes.
